Building a box for a buddy.
Funny, I just had a buddy ask me to help him with the same thing. We live in Northern New Jersey and we geared him for summer/fall. He has a good feel for fishing (fly fishing), but only limited experience with conventional gear. We decided on: Soft Baits *Senkos: Green and White, Watermelon, Motor Oil *Ribbon tail worms (T-Rig or unweighted): Black, Red, June Bug *Underspins Jigs *Football and Swimming: Various trailers- June Bug, Watermelon, etc Hardbaits- keeping' it simple for 1-6 feet of water *Jerkbaits: midsize Perch, shad *Crankbaits: Gill and Perch - squarebill for 1-4 feet, and a crank for 4-8 feet. Topwater *Popper *Frog One Spinning set-up: Braid to leader or Flouro One Baitcasting set-up: Braid to leader

What Size Trolling Motor For 14-15ft Jon Boat?
I use a 55lb for a like-size john boat and it gets the job done. But I recommend you think as much about how big the body of water will be, and how long you’ll normally be running it for (trolling/coasting vs just moving from spot to spot). The reason being you should not overlook the battery size. Bigger is better. It stinks to have a battery run out when you’re a mile down wind from home. yes 55lb is the thrust level. And shaft length for a john boat you’ll be fine with any length as it hangs so close to the water level.

A Top 10 Memory Day Out of Nowhere
On Sunday, it was 42 degrees and windy in southern NY. Not ideal conditions at all. But the corona-cabin fever drove me out to fish. To my surprise, my bored 12 yr old daughter put her phone down and wanted to join; no small gesture as she knew it would be a 90 min drive each way. First cast out of the gate, she caught a hefty pickerel on a ribbon tail. After a couple hours, we jerkbait-ed and cranked our way to a nice list....6 LM bass, 2 pickerel, 2 perch. A great surprise of a day....

Megabass Orochi XX for light texas rig?
Agree. EMTF I like for cranking, but for my taste, def too mod for Texas rig. I prefer sensitive, faster tip. For open water Texas rigging, I hate to say this because of $, but hard to beat Loomis GLX’s 6’8” Med/Ex-fast. They can be found below msrp.

Taking your fishing to the next level
‘Locking in’ in to what the fish are doing also means accepting that they often aren’t doing much. The closest thing to having a code is resilience. Passion feeds resilience. Resilience feeds efforts. Effort feed experience. Experience feeds wisdom. Wisdom feeds resilience.

Please think good thoughts!
Positive step. The fish are waiting. Focus on them and your recovery and you’ll be back on the water in no time.

Tackle Collection Size
There is only so much time in a day. With LMB, i feel like you can make almost any lure an important one if you use it enough. The more lures you have, the more lures you also don’t use. But it’s fun having them anyway.

Dick's Sporting Goods what are they thinking
As of jan’20, East Hanover, NJ store is well stocked for terminal, softs, line; mediocre for rods and yards; weak selection of reels.

Difference between the Shimano curado 71hg and the 71xg
They cast exactly the same. Best price would either be wait for a retailer sale or try checking out the bass resource flea market section.

I can promise you that I have no energy to “ridicule” you. Moreover, I totally respect the pathogen potential. But your choice to engage in this topic for the purpose of claiming “I told you so”, suggests your ego is driving your message more than whatever professional experience you have or interest in guiding people. Be responsible for what you say. I think your ego would fair better if you made a constructive suggestions vs doom’s-daying.- Coronavirus
Huge jump difference between infection and death; please be careful in predicting a “most-will-die” mortality rate (for any demographic). If your willing to spread the fear, you should staple a suggestion to it? Any suggestion?- Right Handed vs Left Handed People...
Niiiiice! I’ve only tried left handed pool shots a on a bet (money loser). I’m now considering a lefty BCaster and betting buddies on random challenges.- My bass won't bite!
Have you tried different times of day as well?- Right Handed vs Left Handed People...
That makes total sense. Ty. Although I’m still not sure I trust lefties, in general.- New Scum Frog for 2020
I’m banking on you guys; ordering a couple today.- Right Handed vs Left Handed People...
After fishing for >45 years, without ever thinking about it, I just now realized that I reel retrieve on both sides. Baitcasting: Right. Spinning: Left. Fly fishing: Left. Basketball: Right. Throwing: Right. Hitting: Both. Golf: Right. Hockey: Left. Surf: Left Writing: Definitely Right (and still barely legible) Bazaar. Ive always made fun of lefties for being a weird species. I probably have to re-think that. Besides being a little embarrassing to admit, it makes me wonder.... Do any of you have strong opinions about the ‘other-side’ or reel on each side? - Coronavirus
