  1. true, Anyways I have another rod I can use for 10oz lure, Just I wish my 807 could handle it, because I love it, very light and my reel sitting on it very well and I can cast with it all day. Now I am aiming to change it with 867 xp after selling this one.
  2. So the story starts when I wanted to use my dobyns Mag Swimbait 807 rod for my larger swimbaits such dips 250 or mothers or hinkle trout because I dont want to have multiple swimbait rod in my truck all the time. It was rated for 3oz to 10oz which it was ok for what I had in mind and I could leave my big rods at home, BUT when I try to cast the hinkle I saw that it bends the rod more than normal just holding it, And it was horrible for casting and the hinkle is 9,6oz so still below the rated recommendation, Anyways I want to tell you guys the rod is awesome and so light but it is only good for lures about 6 to 7oz such dips 250, And it cant handle big 9 or 10 oz at all.
  3. I have 8" and you just cast and burn it back, no need to do anything else...
  4. there is, Like when the current is fast and you have bigger fish to catch and so and so... ML with 6lb test fluro is the least for me.
  5. I believe so.
  6. This is really good color, I am sure it is a fish catcher. Ill look around for you and PM you if I find some.
  7. Having two asian EX wife made me a Chopstick user and I like this wooden ones more than metal, Also you can clean them by wipe as well. I have bad grip due to injury and carry metal chopsticks are not easy. Anyways thanks for sharing and you made me going to look for some metal chopsticks with rubber grip for my truck, Also look for this brands I am using from Japan, They are really good.
  8. A-Jay I feel so bad by seeing this photo, I am gladly inviting you for next year to stop by and I'll bring you fishing when you have frozen lake at your hometown. I dont have bass boat but I have couple friends that I can get their boat anytime @kevinmyfsuKevin, Wacky rig is getting me fish always, Somehow Senko 4" better than anything else. Also Carolina rig/Underspin/jig doing good right now.
  9. Thats where I do BFS fishing only, Same setup as @bulldog1935 But a ML or L combo with 6lb test will do the job as well.
  10. Definitely you can use for bank, But on pier, Specially the narrow ones, It will not be easy. I carry 10ft surf rod and sold my 12fts(I am not strong enough to cast them), And I use 10ft for bank very easy and I like it.
  11. I have Both SLX and Curado DC and I am using them daily, Awesome reels, But if you move your budget to $240 you can get Scorpion DDC 21 which have same DC system that we have in higher end Shimano CDs. So you paying $240 but youll get $500 plus reel technology. If I had no reels at all and I wanted to buy 10 DC reels, I would buy the scorpion 21 DC. just do yourself a favor and save some money to get it and youll thank me ?
  12. I have so many expensive rod and reels, But I am mostly using my cheap combos, The reason for that is I am bank fishing mostly and I dont want to put my expensive combos at risk LOL. Here my cheap combos: and I am really happy with them.
  13. I had same condition and I got them on this jig and this under spin
  14. yup, 30 trout couple cats and two bass. Only released the bass, and kept the rest for friends and family.
  15. I always meet this guy when I am bass fishing
  16. good overnight fishing.
  17. Soon youll see yourself throwing mother ?
  18. Ok the story starts when house keeper bought new mop and when I asked her what was wrong with the last one, she said it was short and make her bend when mopping and cause her pain. So immediately I remember about expensive rubber net Frabill brand that I bought from big 5 8 years ago(I paid $40 for that net). That is a rubber net, very strong and good quality, but very short handle. So I cut the end of the net handle and cut the metal handle of mop and they were exactly same diameter, so inside diameter of hole on net handle and outside diameter of mop handle where exactly the same and I couldn't push it inside. Then I burn the paint on metal handle and Mae it hot about 8" and push it in rubber/plastic handle of net and I was able to push the all 8" in the hole. Then I use the hot glue for the application and put around the contact which it wasn't necessary because it is like very solid, But as I have two digit fishes time to time I want to get your idea about what I can do to make this handle forever. here are the pictures of fish products. Sorry to make it such big project, but it is important for me if you guys did anything the same and what you did. BTW the new handle is awesome and also extendable which I love.
  19. I do double Pitzen and cast my mother chaser with no problem, you can do pitzen as well(I recommend, end double pitzen like swindle).
  20. Dobyns Champ XP 684c 6’8” H $180 That was obvious. And it is my all around rod when I only carry one combo.
  21. Octopus daiichi hook #4 if you nose hook and #2 for normal hook. My son catched his 10.8lb on #4 robe worm nose hook. And I did catch a lots of 5lb plus with the same hook. Here is replica of my sons two digits..(Actual hook and worm were used to catch).
  22. Same here, I a, using the short version. but they have long version as well if you cant bend at all or very little.
  23. If it is just for fun or testing new combo, Yes only one combo, But if I am going to catch, Ill bring one spinning and one casting.
  24. Thats beautiful bag, Yes the smallest I catch in this lake is 2,5lb. I just took pictures of double digits.
