Clear water plastic colors
Forage changes color with water cold change sure. Shad and bluegills both get very pale almost white in muddy water...colors get more vibrant in cleaner water but in my experience.

Does anyone actually "flip"?
I mostly pitch...or cast...or pitch cast...or whatever its called. I do flip occasionally when I'm trying to get into a tight spot close quarters.

Cheap beer connoisseurs : PBR vs Hamms
Me too...I'm a dark beer guy at home and my social beers are Budweiser and Coors banquet. Light beer has its place and to me that is after yard work when it's a million outside and even then I'd almost rather have water...other then that no thanks. If I gotta drink light beer I'm fine with Busch latte. You guys on here talking up natty need to get your priorities straight!

Repairing dead lawn...
So we had a bad drought last year and lawns really took a beating. My lawn has come back pretty well but I do have a few big dead spots I need to take care of. I've never seeded so I'm wondering what is the right way to do it? What grass seed would you suggest? What prep work if any do I need to do before hand?

Clear water plastic colors
So I'm faced with a unique scenario for me. This is the first spring in a long time we've had no flooding so one of my ponds that normally has at least moderate stain is clean...not crystal but very clear. So most of my plastic are for stained to muddy water...junebug,black,green pumpkin. I know that green pumpkin is good in most water colors...but what colors do you lean on in clean water?

Cheap beer connoisseurs : PBR vs Hamms
Kinda figured you'd chime in touting Nasty lights finer points! I agree that high life aint bad. I actually had a couple Hamms last night and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Best thing is a 6er of silos at the gas station 4 blocks from my house is $4.50

Cheap beer connoisseurs : PBR vs Hamms
So I've never been a cheap beer guy...well not super cheap anyhow. So recently I decided to give it a shot...I tried PBR and Hamms. It may not be very hipster of me but I found PBR to be disappointing to say the least and actually thought Hamms was much better then anticipated. What say you?

First decent bag of the spring...
Fished 2 local ponds from shore today for about 2 hours each. Did some damage on a Texas rigged trick worm, swim jig and a boss finesse flip jig. Managed 6 largemouth between 1.25 and 4.24. Biggest 5 went just north of 15lbs. Also ended up getting bit off by a stinky ol pike. All in all it was a good day and I good sign of things to come.

Horror movie fans...
That's an awesome picture. I actually had never even heard of Cut and Run but I see its directed by the guy that did Cannibal Holocaust... So I bet its messed up.

Went crappie fishing but the bass ruined my day.
We have closed walleye season on a few lakes close to me and I have seen a few times during closed season where somebody caught a nice eye while targeting pan fish in front of a DNR guy. They are cool about it because they know its accidental but I will say you better get it unhooked and back in the water with minimal fanfare or you may have a problem.

Best advice to give newer guys
Don't try to learn everything at once...there are a million different lures and techniques and it can get very overwhelming especially if you aren't a solid angler. My advice is pick 3-5 basic standards and learn them inside out and then branch out. My rundown for a noob would be: Texas rigged worm, 3/8oz jig, spinner bait, pop r and Ned rig. You can do almost anything in alot of water temps and colors with those 5.

Megabass vs anything
Well I don't know this from practical experience I can only assume through logical deduction but I'd say the mega bass spinnerbaits aren't the best. Lots of favorite spinnerbaits threads on here you always hear booyah covert, Nichols, war eagle etc....rarely hear megabass mentioned. At $15 a bait...almost twice the other ones...I'd expect more.
