  1. I've never owned one, always just shoveled and toughed it out. Backs not liking the shoveling anymore. Where I live a normal year we usually get 35" of snowfall in a season. We've had a couple bigger snow events this year but a typical snow is 3"-6" average I'd say. Just looking for brand recommendations? Is it worth paying the extra for 2 stage where I live? Thanks for any help
  2. Believe that's correct yes
  3. I hear that. I won't mow the lawn when it's too hot but have no issue putting a pair of wrangler cargo pants, a long sleeve shirt and my hip boots on and walk 2 miles of river chasing catfish. Just sweating to death and loving it.
  4. My family is from Iowa and my grandmothers parents (moms side) immigrated to Texas from Germany I believe in the 20s. In fact my grandmother only spoke German until she went to school. My grandma met my grandpa when he was in the army, they got married and ended up back up here where he's from. Sounds great...now I'm hungry
  5. I love me some braunschweiger. My girlfriend thinks I'm gross.

Ha yep...weve got several feet of snow laying around and 15in ice on the local pond. My buddies went perch fishing yesterday because the wind chill " warmed up" to 25. Regardless that is a beauty!
  7. Had a laugh about this yesterday. I texted a buddy whose a crappieholic who also happens to be a sheriff deputy about where my best bet for a 15+in crappie was around here. He said off handedly does this crappie need to be obtained legally- meaning possible trespass involved? I said of course........especially since I'm talking to you! He responds: well bud your on your own!
  8. That's a beautiful fish...hoping for one just like it at ice out. Your commitment to white bass is awesome. Walking thru mud and quicksand for a fish most people malign ...nice work sir. Where there's a will there's a way.
  9. May be time to try it again!
  10. I've always wondered about this. My grandfather said they canned carp and suckers in the spring when he was young and made patties out of them. He said he always liked them.
  11. I also think I've got the lake figured out. Saw it in a video last year...the guy I saw in the video just caught a 9.1lb smallie out of it a month ago.
  12. Lots of people recommend Jack and I don't get it. Much better whiskey for the same money or less. Paying for the name and the cool black label.
  13. I can't do sweet tea...unsweetened yes
  14. So obviously like most people I've eaten a ton of canned tuna in my life but outside of that nothing else. Who likes canned sardines, kippered herring etc? What brands do you like?
  15. That's awesome...good for you guys!
  16. Good luck on that...I hope your bonus is what your hoping for. Next month ill get a quarterly profit sharing check and a biannual value share check. Depending on how those look I'm gonna buy a couple new Roku TVs( one for the basement and one for my woman's reading \art room) and a new charcoal grill. Hoping my bonus is good as well, this quarter last year we got the largest profit sharing check in company history...like an instant 20% raise size check. I'd be happy if this one was even 10% of that.
  17. Similar story I was about 3 and while my dad watched wrestling I grabbed his Budweiser and sucked down about half of it before he noticed.
  18. On a ball head finesse jig its hard to beat a zoom super chunk Jr or a 4in yamamoto double tail grub.
  19. God if I had a dollar for every time I've said that. Ill give you a month and the monkey will have you bent over a barrel.
  20. I'm actually disappointed in how clean the board is. I can read Rapala on the clip.
  21. Anything your looking to add before ice out? For me all ive got left to order is a few chatterbait flashback minis and some damiki armor shads. Otherwise I'm overstocked.
  22. Well the point with any of it is to stop before you get to that point. Don't worry I struggled with that plenty myself. Used to be drink to get drunk...now days its drink better stuff because I enjoy the taste. Can't remember the last time I puked from drinking.
  23. So when I started drinking back in my late teens all I drank was what's cheap...be it beer or boones farm. As I got older I switched to mixed drinks like whiskey coke and a little better grade of beers. Now I'm coming up on 40 and I find myself drinking what I once referred to as old man drinks. If I have booze in my hand these days there is a 95% chance its a gin and tonic or whiskey on the rocks. Its amazing how our tastes change as we age from sweet to stronger more challenging flavors.
