  1. Sorry T-Rigged... Also if you have a brand also because the actual size varies from brand to brand so a Gammy 2/0 is actually a little different ins size than an Owner 2/0
  2. What hook size do you use for 1. 3.75" Flappin Hog 2. 4" Fat Ikas I only have 2/0 and 4/0 Gammy EWG hooks right now but both seem to be "weird" when hooked to the flappin hawg. Suggestions would be helpful. THanks
  3. I just sent it again. Hope I made it but if not I got screwed by hotmail....booooooooo >
  4. Oooh Email sent... hope I am one.... I really like the jigs...
  5. You know what's a good sucky reel... Shimano Callisto... I have fished that thing like crazy when I first learned to bait cast. I fished it in the salt and dunked it once. This was before I knew I had to rinse the salt out with fresh water. Just continued to use it and it held up fine for a year. Then I bought good stuff, now I don't like to fish it but it still works fine. Good learner reel but it's not something you'll grow into.
  6. Hello Never fished hollow bodied Topwater frogs. Wanted to get one but do not know what color and how to fish em.. any thoughs. I'm thinking green but also black and white in terms of topwater visibilty?? I did a search and come up with nothing in regards to color Help.. Thanks
  7. Owners Mosquito hooks Size 8, 10, 12 are small. I use it for my UL fishing. On sale too... here http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=&id=0037619119810a&navCount=0&podId=0037619&parentId=&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=&indexId=&cmCat=netcon&cm_ven=netcon&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=owner%20mosquito%20hooks&cm_ite=netcon
  8. OMG... go respool It will give you the sensation of sadness and frustration because your fish and tackle will vanish. Both suck. So bad in fact that I will never fish Trilene again. > Yo Zuri, P-line CXX, IZOR XXX are good lines.
  9. haha, read me like a book
  10. What colors would you need to cover all situations regarding water and color clarity I went with 1. Amercan Shad 2. Tennesee Shad - Looks like most baitfish 3.. Aurora Green Perch - Muddy/Dingy/Stained 4. Pearl Ayu - Clear 5. Chart. Shad - Same as Pearl Ayu So that got me thinking, some of the colors overlap so no need to spend money on both... ie ... the Pearl Aye lure should work when the Chart. Shad works as they are similar in color. Same for A. Shad and C. Shad. Same for Aurora Green Perch and Black and Gold. What do you guys think, no need to have both when one works if the other should. Do you think this is true, or does pattern have an influence? Thanks
  11. Nah The sole is the same as the Daiwa Alpha's basically Pixy is smaller and can throw even lighter Daiwa Presso too....
  12. Yeah man Tell me, will Daiwa be coming out with a low pro BC that will address throwing super light lures? ie... a US version of the Daiwa Pixy.... That would be awesome.... Spill the beans!!!!
  13. Looks like a zillion and stella...
  14. I highly recomment the Shimano Torium or the Daiwa Saltist. I would go Torium 20 or Daiwa Saltist 30. I have fished the torium for awhile now and it has held up very very well. Have took it tuna fishing, inshore for halis and calicos, bonita, everything in between. Oh and Bat Ray fishing, these things will put your tackle to the test. I haven't fished the Saltist but I know it's very good also. My friend has a one and the drag is a little better on it. However, shimano has upgraded the drags in the Torium so they are about the same. Hope that helps.
  15. Daiwa Advantage HSTA - $120 -150 Daiwa Zillion - $200-250 Curado - $150-180
  16. I hear those are nice rods. I do not like the non fuji guides on them. Matter of fact, I don't really know what kind of guides are on them but they are probably good. I can recommend the Shimano Crucial DS in a ML It is very light and sensitive. I really think this one is a winner. I am very happy with it. Luck.... ST. Croix Avid is another good one in that price range.
  17. I just picked up some more expenisive lures (Lucky Craft Pointers) Should I use braid with them. I think it would be unfair to me if I lost one of these bad boys
  18. Yea I talked the them today. I did not mention that it the LE Blank and not the factory made rod. So they would send me another blank if I send this one back. So I do not know if it is worth the time and labor to strip down this rod, send it in, and rebuild the new one. However they said that the newer rods have a better finish on them. hmmmm... maybe a giant fish will snap my rod sometime this year 8-)
  19. The LE are awesome rods. I do think that the finish is not durable. I have alot of nicks and scratches and patches that are peeling off. The finish looks really nice in the sunlight though. Does not effect the integrity or performance of the rod though, just cosmetically displeasing.
  20. I see. So braid is good for different types of situations. I have never fishes grass you can walk on so yeah. I am not implying that braid users are unsporting or cheating, just wanted to get a few opinions and open a topic for discusions. But in the end, doesn't matter... your still fishing
  21. So guys, I am wondering why people use braid. I personnaly feel that using braid takes the sport out of fishing to some degree. Braid is so strong the fish never has a chance. People using 40lbs braid for LMB is a little overkill I think. WHen you hook a fish, all you gotta do is crank it on in. I like the ecxitement of not knowing whether you will or will not land that lunker.... I use 6lb test LMB and 12 for heavy cover and cranks and such. Aside from fishing heavy cover, y do you guys like braid. Dunno, just wondering.... I can use 10 lbs braid for trout.. but I choose to use 2lbs mono... What do you guys think, am I missing out on the fun of braid?
  22. Not my auction but a good price nonetheless.. http://cgi.ebay.com/DAIWA-ZILLION-100HA-6-3-1-RH-BAITCAST-REEL-NEW-2008_W0QQitemZ250246870361QQihZ015QQcategoryZ108153QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
