The difference in a 30ah and a 50ah ionic lithium is only 5 lbs and $50 more and the same dimensions. Then you’ll only need 1 battery for your equipment.

I also have both and hands down my Ultrex with spot lock is something they’ll have to pry my hands from. Trolling motor for sure first.

To me the big questions would be is the repair to have the boat be a keepsake for your dad or just a boat for fishing and what kind of budget do you have. Depending on what trolling motor and fish finders your looking at could run you $4000 to $8000. And they way you described the boats condition I would say like others have said the bill could easily reach $20,000.

Around here the absolute worst littering fishing slobs are during trout season. Go to any stocked trout water and you’ll find styrofoam cups, food wrappers, worm containers, fishing line. It’s disgusting. So many are the 1 day wonders. They come out fish opening day and there done for the year. That’s why I called them fishing slobs NOT fishermen.
