    Welcome aboard.
  9. This is exactly what I do. Works great so far..
  10. You don’t need to go through all the changes your talking about. Change out your cranking battery to a good 31M and you’ll be go to go with what your running. I run two 12” Helix’s, 2 power poles and live well all day on one 31M with no issues.
  11. When I’m alone I can bump the boat off the trailer and use the remote control to put my poles down and not worry about the boat smacking into the dock before I can get out and tie it off to the dock.
  12. Depends on the kind of fishing you do. If your shallow water fishing there great. I use two so the boat doesn’t pivot back and forth. If your fishing deeper all the time then spot lock is the way to go. There also good for launching your boat alone.
  13. Welcome aboard.
  14. Congratulations Glenn, great job ?
  15. Boats to me are not a investment. I don’t purchase them to make a profit down the road. We have a few guys on here that are top shelf mechanics when it comes to boats and they can buy scrap and turn it into gold and also enjoy them for years, but that talent is a art and not possessed by many. Maintaining my equipment I find enjoyable and relaxing. Yes it can be expensive but how many hobbies aren’t? My pain would come from watching people pull away from the dock and not being able to do the same. Buy it, maintain it, enjoy it. ???
  16. Welcome aboard Flygaff
  17. Mark, Watch the video Glenn posted on buying a new boat. It will answer a lot of your questions. Buying a used boat is like buying a used car. If you know what your looking at and can diagnose issues your ahead of the game. If not take to someone who can before buying. Also test drive is a definite. Good luck on your quest.
  18. Some of my most favorite fishing memories are just a pair of cutoff old jeans and old sneakers and wading in the Juniata river. Never any big size but huge numbers. I still make it a point to head out every year for a few trips. Simple times and simple life.
