  1. I hear you Tom. I'm signing up for retirement now. But my fishing has slowed for almost the exact same reasons. My delta fishing buddy died of cancer a long while ago. Somehow the urge to go slowed. I am determined to get back out.
  2. Obvious trolling the internet is more your style. Why you joined a site where trolling for fish might be more enjoyable I don't know. And now I'm ignorant, but you are not ignorant of what is going on in my neighborhood? Wow, I wish I was clairvoyant. Nothing more than a troll handing out opinions as facts. Go on I won't participate any further in your game. I bet you can't resist adding more.
  3. Not sensitive, just intolerant of people thinking they have to correct everyone else. Making a suggestion is different than making subtle criticisms. I don't think you will sleep much if that is a pet peeve. There is not a site on the internet where grammar is always correct, maybe you should start one. You would be solving a major problem. But actually, maybe you could join a bass fishing site and go fishing and relax a bit. As far as my neighbors, well you will just have to take my word for it because at this point your opinion doesn't mean shipwax to me. Carry on Mr. Peeve.
  4. The shipping can be very confusing at the post office. It seems the pricing is different every time I go. And no one is going to buy a lure and then spend $13 for shipping. I see sellers on EBay posting $3.25 shipping, so there are ways to get it done cheap.
  5. Yes exactly Mr. grammar policeman. You must be busy all the time using your skills.
  6. Family price might be $1200, but that would get you a whole lot of pit in California.
  7. Not with that attitude young man. I keed, I keed.
  8. My neighbors are mostly new imports. They could care less.
  9. That's being prepared for the zombies!
  10. Oh baby when you get some in your eye! I use Paslode tool cleaner from Home depot, not as nasty.
  11. I have a BassHunter 10', and a Pelican Predator 10'. The BassHunter is very stable and a great pond/ flat lake boat. If it gets a bit windy the boat plows and splashes water up. It drains out but who wants everything wet? It also is not the most aerodynamic, so top speed with just an electric trolling motor is a fast walk. I never put an outboard on it. On the Predator the bottom is more boat like. I am adding a front deck, casting seat and trolling motor. I will put an outboard on this boat so I can get where I want to go a bit quicker, then deploy the MinnKota. Both styles of boats come up for sale occasionally. I stole the Predator (dirt cheap) and paid $450 for the bare hull BH with seats. A bit more comfort for my older bones on the Predator. Hope that helps, but only you know where you are going to fish and the normal conditions. One note, the BH is a cork so I always felt like I was going to be safe. I don't know what happens when a Predator swamps. Oh and how are you going to transport? I used the BassHunter (110lbs) out of the back of a small Mazda pickup. The Predator weighs about 170lbs without the motor so it's on a small trailer.
  12. The 5/8th's broken back is the one.
  13. Go with Ts-321. Auction site has it for $5.99
  14. Basic way I go is troll with the tide, which ever direction. And an hour before and an hour after the top of the tide. If you pay attention to what the tide is doing, you can follow it in and out.
  15. I just wonder why everybody is a YouTube expert. I just turn them off as soon as they say 'me' a couple times.
  16. I too keep them in boxes. I do salt water pours more than fresh so no bags. I pour a dozen of each color I want and then store them in big Plano's. Then I grab a few and throw them into a smaller box each fishing trip.
  17. Pool noodle your net too. Nets are getting expensive, especially rubber coated. Best wishes sent your way Oregon Native.
  18. Attaboy! You a transplanted Canuck? Eh?
  19. Take a pic and throw it back. Just my opinion, relax. I don't need to show the world. But I realize the world doesn't care what I catch.
  20. I'm sure it's going to get better boys. When we have another million new peeps moved in.
  21. Well I had to buy an engine hoist to lift it, but, the pin / shaft that goes thru the center shock was frozen in. I beat on it for quite a while. Sprayed it, heated it, sprayed it, beat on it some more. Got about a 1/2" of movement. Sprayed it again, and quit for the day. It popped out this morning when I beat it out in the other direction. I figured the pin was flaring from the pounding. The replacement pin is shiny. The old one didn't have a spot that shined at all. Corroded with no evidence of grease ever. Now I have to service my power washer that Ryobi refused to warranty. Never worked, I called the first time I used it, and they B.S'd me into waiting. Long story short, I like the power washer, but I will never give them a dime for another. I am going to power wash and paint the lower unit while I have it apart. Going to hang until the weekend now. (Work). If you have the tools, the parts and the lift, I think it would be a 2 hr. job. One hour out / one hour back.
  22. I spent part of yesterday working on the Pelican Predator trailer, and the other part trying to swap out the trim and tilt on my old 70hp. Going back to real work Thursday.
  23. You are right. Never heard of it. Can you educate me here?
