Buyer beware (rapala floaters)
A few years ago I picked up 10rapala floaters during a sale that I never touched, I finally needed them (different sizes) out of them all none ran right and most would just spin on the surface right out of the box, I could only manage to tune 2 of them, took them out on the water and after one fish on each one they both stopped running true. If I could use profanity I would, hopefully rapala stands behind their original minnows...... I will most likley not even request a floater and will ask for the lure money in the form of xraps or something.... if they fixed this issue let me know but for the time being will not buy any more.....

Ultralight bass fishing
Yes, 4lb is not generally ultralight, thats common for D.S and hairjigging.. 13mm and smaller diameter line is ultralight.

Baitcasting skipping 101 - Reel settings?
Once you learn how to do it I like spool tension very low and usually higher break settings

Any women or girls on this site?
well, Fishing is a male dominated sport, Generally because men are more interested in things/objects(lures, rods, reels, hooks, line, fish, guns, hunting, tools etc etc ) and women are generally more interested in people. (friends, family, children, etc etc) this is the general reason the STEM field is 90%+ men, and nursing, daycare/teaching, phone receptionists, etc is 90%+ Female.

How to spool/knot - Lews ProSP
It helps the knot sit more low profile to achieve more even line lay and avoids slippage. Any knot will work fine, I like a loop knot and turn it into a slip knot.

Your Go-To Largemouth Cover?
I like grass, any type, expect yucky slime that clogs up my equiptment. I just like that style of fishing most.

JDM questions...
I bought the ozark trail frog too, its fine for fishing over cheese but other than that i hate it lol, it sinks after a few casts and doesnt walk sadly, but for two bucks I dont see how you can complain yknow

JDM questions...
Yes, but take everything with a grain of salt Love the jackal mushbob SR is my favorite, its more expensive at 10$, but they charge alot more in the U.S I can reccomend that one, these others i have dabbled in but feel like I dont have enough experience to fully reccomend these the Megabass Griffin SR, a finessey crank and the duo realis 55m. (P.S, baits out of japan have lighter wire hooks because they tend to fish lighter lines, so keep that in mind and plan accordingly+prices will change based on exchange rate)
-
Paypal and JDM purchases
Don't use PayPal, I almost got ripped off as well, they use crappie exchange rates and say its fee but I did the math and it's a 4% fee on top of the garbage exchange rates. If you just placed the order I would cancel it and place it again now, on my 200$ I saved 20 bucks, if you're is more you will save more P.S (credit card/banking institution will give you the best official exchange rate

What is the difference between "action" and "taper"?
All blank blends are different and manufacturers don't have an industry standard, they really should make one similar to fly lines and rods, there's an old saying American consumers don't know what they want, just look at the offset circle hook, a hook designed for protecting fish offset so you hook them deeper and more often.

Leopard Shark Spots in South Bay?
Fresh or salt, kinda out in the middle of nowhere, though the irrigation canals (used) to hold fish, no idea now because the state government forced farmers hands on water use. Lepord sharks like sandy bottoms, and are bottom feeders.

What would cause my line to do this?
Called wind knots, very common, there is so many reasons this can happen, line diameter, line type, overfill, too light a bait, casting into wind, the list goes on and on. You can either strip down on your line capacity greatly or go down line sizes.

JDM questions...
M Absolutley I'm a budget angler but I can spend 10 on a cheap crankbait here or get a super tuned fancy jdm one with beautiful colors for 6

JDM questions...
From what I've read no, they probably won't accept a didgitaka receipt from what I've read, but for many of the reels the inner components are 99% the same so you will be able to pay to have it serviced. (P.s) warranties are a joke nowdays anyways and they will probably make you pay the 30$ shipping fee, you could get it serviced in the U.S for that price

Fishing Etiquette
Here in socal, expecially during trout season don't expect to get more than 10 feet on many lakes, if that it can even be elbow to elbow, it's equal to the crowdedness down on piers in China. Have an uncle that came down from New Hampshire and was like "what the hell is this" space yourself based on what's appropriate for the time. Send him down here to socal and he will be begging for half the space you gave him.

Poll: Best Chatterbait Rod
What line are you using? You can change the action of any of your rods with your fishing line
-
Dedicated Rods?
It's heavily overthought, medium heavy baitcaster for pretty much everything and medium/medium light for lighter lures. Line is cheap and can change the action of those rods, if you want a heavy rod and 60lb braid for cover be my guess, though I think it's overkill, 15lb-20 is more than enough to horse a 6+ out of nasty cover. Takes the sport out of fishing. You will find niches and fill them as you wish.

Poll: Best Chatterbait Rod
Honestly it's often overthought, any medium heavyish rod will work for all single hook exposed moving baits that are medium-light wire and worm hooks. You can use whatever line you want depending on hook gauge

What temperature damages nylons plastics(monofilament) bonus to what temperature damages other plastics like polyester, polyurethane etc ryc
Thanks! Very interesting Me too, it's been 105-111 in the garage the past month, was just thinking the long term effects yknow, I see, thanks

What temperature damages nylons plastics(monofilament) bonus to what temperature damages other plastics like polyester, polyurethane etc ryc
Reading an old WRB post he mentioned excessive heat can damage nylons/plastic fishing lines. If anyone has more detail let me know, I store my line indoors at the moment because garage is at 109, got to believe that is not good for nylon fishing lines.

Has anyone experienced a much tougher season than last year, or do you think it’s just because summer is generally tough?
The longer the year goes the more pressured the fish get, I've found that easy fishing isn't fun because you don't have to refine what you are doing and there is much more room for error.
