  1. Ghoti my friend, I think you are on to something. I have been using 20# braid w/ 6# diameter. I just didn't want to overload the line rating on my rods. I think I will try a larger braid and see what happens. Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Good idea pfluemis on using the magic marker. I will try that too.
  2. I have had some issues this year with braided line. I use it only when I'm fishing a jig because of the sensitivity issue. I have tried them all this year from Stren, Power Pro, Spider Wire and my fav, Sufix. All have one thing in common for me, snapping on hooksets. It is not a bad batch issue or drag issue, this has been ruled out long ago. I need help. I don't know if Florocarbon is the way to go because it is the most sensitive other than braid. I keep retying and this keeps happening. I check for frayed line and everything. I can't figure it out. :-? What do ya'll recommend?
  3. My wife done this about 2 yrs. ago when she had her hair cut short. Good organization.
  4. I was 6 yrs. young. Went with dad on the Memphis Belle (his boat) for the first time. He casted a floating Rapala out for me and let me reel it in. About 5 cranks on the handle is all it took for my first 12" green fish to grab it. I thought I would never get that fish in but I did and upon completing this task and admiring this beautiful creature the rest as they say....is history.
  5. Fishing is #1 with me. Always has been, always will be.
  6. I strictly C&R bass but that is just what I do. No need to be sorry as far as I'm concerned. That is your right to do so as long as you obey the daily creel limits in your state. I like to eat bluegill a couple times a year. They go good with ice cold beer.
  7. It's all good. ;D
  8. I like number 14. That would have been something to ponder on back in my college days.
  9. I found this looking through the sale section. I have 8 of these bags (large and double size) and you can stuff em' pretty full and still get the zipper closed. I have had most of them going on five years now and haven't busted the zippers yet. They are tough!! This is about half of what I paid for mine but I recommend getting the large or double size instead of the medium. 10. Can I go fishing on your boat? : You have got your priorities in order!!! Never seen a small keg (or what ever that is) like that.
  11. That pond you're fishing in looks like it has some healthy size bass. Nice fish.
  12. Nice fish man. 8-) She's a fatty.
  13. I really like the color of that fish. Nice and fat. That's the way we like em'.
  14. I think RW's right on the mark.

I'm still waiting to have a good day. This heat has been a killer. Finally got some rain today so the outlook is good for the weekend. Congrats Muddy on the catching. Days like that keep you coming back for more.
  16. Most jigs you will buy will have a weed guard on them.
  17. My absolute favorite right now is the Tru-Tungsten 1/2 oz. in green pumpkin and brown with a 3" green pumpkin Yum chunk trailer. This may change soon to a Flappin Hog trailer in green pumpkin. I like em' big. ;D
  18. Sorry Burley, I agged it on to get it.
  19. You West Virginians are a weird lot... :-/ ;D Trust me, that thing is a noodle. I've seen electric fencing wire with more backbone. LOL!!! Maybe I better stand back then. You wipping that thing around will be like a a set of nunchucks!!! If you come bring you fishing gear and we can take the boat and hit the lake.
  20. Never will I worship the alter of stinkmano, but you can bring the fenwick rod if ya want.
  21. Bid $20.00 for high bid and get the sticker. Don't make my search in vain, it took me 30 seconds to find that. That is 30 seconds of my life lost if you don't buy it. ;D Well, I was thinking of calling Shimano tomorrow and seeing what they could do for me. But, if this eBay guy's stickers are direct from Shimano, your 30 seconds won't be in vain. Thanks for the 30 seconds though...I could make many lewd comments, but I shall refrain. I hope you know it was a joke.

  23. Don't look in the mirror often, do ya? ;D Everyday my friend, everyday. Pretty handsome devil I see in there too.
