Many times I will get strikes running cranks in mid water column adjacent to cover. I can truthfully say that better than 60% of my strikes come directly after making contact with cover or some type of structure. I seem to catch more spotted bass when fishing mid water column too.
  2. You need to spend a day in late April/ early May on the New River with me and Pitchinkid, you can do that in a day.
  3. This bait right here...caught more fish above the 5 lb. mark than any other I used this year. Thanks B.L. !! I should note that this bait has been modified from the original.
  4. I'm going to try not buying any rods or reels this year. This should make for an interesting year. (typing this all the while thinking about a new swimbait setup)
  5. I've got this game as well on the PS3. Pretty intense game! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1226907060
  6. I hear ya man. Ol' Burley Sue will be smiling ear to ear when we get into a school of those spots. I probably will too, fun as hell to catch.
  7. It's not that hard to do. Make sure you have your reel schematics and use the proper tools to disassemble the reel. BTW, purple Alphas's aren't bad either, I have a couple of those too. Well technically, the wife claims one of them. :-/
  8. Yep, makes my Trilene Fluoro on my casting reels very soft and manageable. Works great on my spinning reels too.
  9. Pretty common among JDM rods really. Most JDM companies offer no warranty at all on their rods to American consumers. If you think that's bad, some Gan-Craft rods sell in the $800.00 range with no warranty. Good looking rods though...
  10. Here you go dude. Brand new one is on the right, used one on the left. I use aluminum polish with a high speed Dremel tool with a polishing head. I have to warn you ahead of time, take the reel completely apart down to every last screw. You don't want this stuff getting into your bearings. Plan to take about 4-6 hours out of your schedule for this job.
  11. You'll come home with a big smile on your face just like I did. This is going to be a blast. I just hope Kentucky Lake is ready for this group of misfits.
  12. I'll go ahead and alert the local authorities. Maybe if they know what's coming they can prepare ahead of time.
  13. 4. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
  14. I know the answers. Had to really think about numbers 2 and 3.
  15. You Sharted!!
  16. Welcome to the evil world of Daiwa. It's all down hill from here.
  17. Still loving that paint job on the Curado. Nice setup.

  22. Good video and well done. Would like to see that whole fight on that gar. That thing was a beast. I have gotten a few but I think my biggest was around four feet.
