Buckeyeone, Charter Cable is the company that provides service to the Southern part of New Hanover Co, which includes Carolina Beach. I would call Direct TV, because the guy offered me somthing that I wanted and it was cheaper than the online special they were running. I will Pm you with Channnel Lineup. I did not get DVR, but it was not that much more. I just got sick of TWC's excuses and crap about my service going out. Big T

OK thanks guys, I just ordered Direct TV . I got a year free showtime and more channels than I had with cable and it is $10 a month cheaper. Also they are going to install it tommorrow. Eddie, I didn't want to call them out, but TWC is who I am talking about. My cable goes out a least once a month. I am seriously looking into Direct TV, I can get the same package that I have now for about the same price. Actually Direct TV is $5 dollars cheaper. The I do not have to worry about wether or not someone on my block cuts a wire or they just los e signal. My dad has Direct, he said that he rarely loses signals, due to storms. Even after a hurricane he got his signal back as soon as the storm passed and he lives at Carolina Beach.

It is bad enough I have too be laid up with recovering from back surgery, now my freaking cablel is out. My wife calls the cable company and they say that it will be tommorrow before they can come look at it. I call them a second time and give them a piece of my mind, not that helped. This crap happens all the time, I think I am going to go with Direct TV and be done with cable. Sorry to be so negative, but I woke up in a bad mood this morning., Thanks for listening. T

Ric Flair was always one of my favorites. I saw him numerous times during the old NWA days at Legion Stadium. When his plane crashed in 1974, my Grandparents lived less than 3-4 miles from the crash site. My grandfather was one of the first people on site to volunteer to help. Wilmington was a very small town at the time and ILM airport was nothing more than a landing field. Saltwater: 7 ft Cape Fear Spinning rod(actually won it) retailed for $269-$300 with a Pfleuger reel. 7ft Key Largo spinning rod $100 with a Shimano 4000 Symtre $80 Freshwater: 6 1/2 ft ML Shimano Compre- reel to be determined. This rod is actually moving to Saltwater. I have not gotten serious enough to spend alot on Bass equipment. Most of my stuff sees double duty between Bass and Inshore Saltwater. BIg T

Muddy, I agree that there maybe too many teams in the Big East. What hurt Conference USA was the fact that Louisville, Marquette,Cinncinati, and South Florida left. The ACC was down this year. I think the PAC 10 was really strong. I am not saying that Carolina is going to win it all, I hope they do. The fact remains though that they have yet to struggle in their two games like UCLA, Memphis and some of the other top 1-4 seeds.

Well the way I see it is if Puke, I mean Duke, would've played better then they would have been in Raleigh and then all the ABC fans(anybody but Carolina) wouldv'e been happy. I also feel Memphis is going down in Houston, you can not shoot 46%, like they did yesterday, from the free throw line and win a championship. I would like to see how good they were, if they played quality opponents instead of that weak conference they are in. Memphis reminds me of Hawaii's team in football. I would love to see Davidson pull off a couple more upsets next weekend. Unlikely but I would still love to see.

Boy, I hope none of you picked Georgetown to do anything,because they were just kicked out the tournament by Davidson. These kids can play, and to come from 17 points down in the second half to win! Now it is time for the Heels to kick butt and take names. Big T

How about Davidson College... Stephen Curry had 40 points and 30 of them were in the second half. This team is good. They are on a 23 game win streak. Their last loss was in Raliegh to NC State, and then State was bailed out with foul call with 3.9 seconds left in the game. If they play to the ablity, I think they may have a shot to upset Georgetown. Not bad for a school of only 1700 students. Big T

He had some good deal's on his baitcasters. For some reason around here the spinning reels are more popular for inshore Red Drum and Trout. I personally am getting where I do not like spinning reels except for UL applications for panfish. Big T

I would not count on Duke winning it all. They are good but not great. I watched them struggle against NC State twice this year. They would have lost both games if State was a decent team. They did the same thing tonight as they did against Carolina two weeks ago. UCLA will eat them alive if they make it that far.

Fishfordollars, I know how you feel, I just recently had a spinal tumor removed from two different spots on my spinal cord. Just try to stay positve and it will all work out. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Big T

There isn't a best just a favorite. I like Shimano's, but also own several Pfleugers and a Quantum. My favorite reel is the Symtre 4000fi. I use these for Bass and Inshore Saltwater. Most guys on here will say that 2500 is big enough. I need the exrta line capacity. Another reel that I would like to try is the Abu Garcia 800 series. Some of the guys here have Daiwa's, espcially the Tierra. Any way the Symtre sell for around $79. Hope this helps.

Good advice Dude, I was offshore fishing on my buddy's boat years ago. The weather was not the best to begin with, scatterd showers, thunderstorms. A storm come up, my other freinds were right on the beach when the storm was coming up. We made the decision to stay out. We were 18 miles out. The storm come up and passed between us and shore. My friend's 24 ft boat was tossed and turned like crazy. I tlooked just like the opeoning scene from Gilligan's Island. We did not get swamped, we must have had angels on our side or something, we were very lucky. I read on another forum, where the Coast Guard had to pull two boaters out of the ocean last Friday, when it was nasty. I learned my lesson form that experience. I will not even stay out on the lake if there is a hint of storms or wind. Big T

I am pulling for Carolina all the way. I think Louisville will take out Tennessee in the bottom half of the East. UCLA has the easiest bracket, Texas will eliminate Memphis in Houston at the regionals. My upset team of the Tourney is Davidson College. The Wildcats lost games to UNC by 2, Duke by 11, UCLA by 8, and NC State by 1. State needed a bail out foul call to win that game in the last 3 seconds of the game. I think Davidson has a great chance of knocking off Gonzaga in the first round. I do not think Gonzaga will be able to stop Stephen Curry. Back to Carolina, if Lawson and Eillington are on they will be hard to beat, and Psycho T will get his points as usaul. Final Game UCLA versus UNC. UNC by 2 points.

I am not sure if this the right spot, I might have needed to post it in the broken fins thread. I had a full spine and brain MRI this Sunday morning. I got the report today, it was very good. There was one small nodule near the original tumor site on my spine; however, the rest of my spine, my neck, and brain was clear. This means I will only have to get radition on my spine and not my brain. I am so relieved about that. Today marks the 4 week mark since my spine surgery. I have started practice casting in the back yard. I am going to go fishing Saturday off the dock at my local lake. If all goes well I may consider taking the boat out in a couple of weeks. I just wanted to thank everyone on Bass Resouce for the words of encouragement I received from my post on my surgery a couple weeks ago. Thanks, Tony

That was one heck of a game, I got so excited I almost forgot that I just had spinal surgery. If Carolina wins the ACC tourney and gets the #1 seed in the East, we could go all the way to the Final Four without leaving the State of North Carolina. Go Heels!!! Big T
