Thanks Matt Big T Tony Stokes
  3. One word for this guy: IDIOT!
  4. I like Maker's Mark and Woodford Reserve. I took a tour of the Woodford reserve distellary a couple years ago. Very small operarition, quite interesting tour. After the tour you get to sample their bourbon in the gitft shop area. I have tried Knob Creek, did not care for it. It is owned Jim Beam. I believe it is their small batch bourbon.

Thanks Jim, Just to keep everyone up to date. My tumor was a grade 1, which is considered benign/pre cancerous. The type of tumor I have usually responds to surgery and/or radiation. Most of the time it does not require chemo. I start my radition tomorrow. They have decided not to do radition to my full spine, and brain. Just localized in the lower spine. The reason being is the risk of damage to areas of my spine that were not affected were greater than the risk of the tumor returning in those areas. The doctors at Duke said that they would treat those areas at later date if the tumor were to return in those areas. Thanks for everyone's prayers and thoughts. Tony
  6. I have three labs. The interesting thing about the half breeds is that, according to what the AKC told my wife is that once a female has a litter of pups from a another breed. They, being the AKC, will never register a litter from that dog again. So if you breed a Lab to create the so called Labradoodle, then you will never be able to breed her with a lab to have lab puppies. That is how I take it. Anyway you slice it, they are still mix breeds. Also from my experince from breeding my male and the oldest female, unless you are professional breeder/kennel you are not going to make any money from it. I had two liiters, the first litter I kept a pup and my inlaws kept two. I sold the other four and all eight of the second litter. I had papers for my pups and the first set of shots, and I had to end up lowering my price to $150 in order to find these pupies homes. I hav seen labs sell for uo to $350-$400 through professional kennels. And to put my price in prospective, at the local humane society and ohter shelters it costs around $125 to adopt a puppy, which inlcudes shots and spaying/neutering fees.
  7. We had 9.9 on my buddy's 12ft Lowe. We used it for knee boarding, even though we didn't go very fast and even took that boat three mile offshore a couple times. Very slick conditions when did that. He used a Johnson tow stroke. I like my 25 hp 4-stroke Yamaha alot. It is consideralby quiter than my two was. More fule efficient. I have yet to run it out of gas and have ran a full throttle around 25-30 miles in a day on a 6.5 gal tank. The one thing I did notice in going from 2-4 stroke is that the take off on the 4 stroke is not as strong. That could be a prob issue. It isn't enough of a difference to really complain about however. Also the 4 stroke is alot heavier and more expensive.

OK, So I went today to for my planning session fo my radiation treatment. I was told I would not need it to my brain initially at Duke. Then the doctor here in Wilmingotn said, that he might have to do it anyway. However, after consulting with my team at Duke University; he has dicided that I will only need localized radaition to the spine. This means not only will I not have to have radiation to my brain. I will not have to have my entire spine radiated. The doctors have decided that the risk of radation to areas that did not need it outweighed the minimal risks of the tumor coming back in those areas. I am stoked. Sorry for such a long post but I just wanted to share this with my friends on Bass resource. Thanks Tony
  10. Dan, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I hope everything works out for your family. Tony
  11. I picked UNC, but I am biased. If I had to pick at second choice it would be UCLA. I respect what UCLA has done in the history of its program, especially this current squad. Three straight final fours is hard to due. GO HEELS Big T
  12. I don' t currently carry, but Wilmington is getting to be a rough town, and there are alot of suspicious characters hanging around at the boat ramps at Suttun Lake and the NE Cape Fear river in the evenings. Flechero, That Tuarus you have, looks like the same pistol my wife and I are planning on buying. Big T
  13. Are Shimano's worth it? I have two Sytmre's that are really freshwater reels but I use them for inshore saltwater. The oldest on is 5 years old and the only thing I have done to it is wash it off with water and occasionally oil it. Works perfect. So based on that I think they are worth the money.
  14. Oh snap, I forgot about Toby Keith, Sara Evans and Sugarland. I have seen Sara Evans, Terri Clark, and Sugarland before, as well as Montgomery Gentry. Sugarland is playing here next week at the NC Azalea Festival with Littel Big Town.
  15. I am not sure if this would be considered new or classic country but my favorites are: 1.George Strait 2. Reba My favorite song of all time is George Strait's "Fool Hearted Memory".
  16. I listen to alotcountry, however lately my age is showing and I have been listening to alot eighties hair bands, especially Bret Micheals/Poison and Kiss. But here are my top five new country artists. 1. Montgomery Gentry 2. Jack Ingram 3. Miranda Lambert 4. Jason Aldean 5. Kenny Chesney. Honorable mention- Tim McGraw- that remake he did of Eddie Rabbits "Suspicions" is awesome.
  17. Shooting from the free throw line is imperative to winning at any level. I was watching the Phoeinx Suns play last night, during the game they showed Shaq's foul shooting percentage fot the year and his career. For the season he was 49% and like 59% for hsi career. That is just ridiculous for a NBA player. No wonder teams have played hack-a-Shaq for his entire career. He can't beat you if he is at the free throw line. Anyway back to the NCAA's it should be a great final four. First time in tourney history that all four #1 seeds have advanced to the final four.
  18. Roadwarrior, I will give you that one. I will give credit where crdit is due. Memphis did make their foul shots, which is something that they have not dome most of the year. The game will probably be a close one. I just do not like Memphis, that is why I hope UCLA blows them out. I not sure why I do not like them, they are just one of those teams that I do not care for. They remind me too much of the UNLV team of the early 90's.
  19. Kansas pulled it out. What a season Davidson College had. 25 straight wins, first elite 8 since 1969, undefeated conference season. They also pushed a team that on paper should've blown them out of the arena, to the final seconds. Not bad for a school of only 1700 students, many of which are Rhodes scholars. Now it is UNC versus Kansas, I liked KU when Roy Williams was there. However now there is no love loss. Hopefully, Carolina will take care of business and UCLA will blow Memphis off the court. This will setup a UNC versus UCLA final with Carolina winning by 4.
  20. Pysho T has the work ethic; however, I think he needs to stay at Chapel Hill one more year and work on his jump shot more. He has worked on it this year and has pretty good range, but in the NBA all the big men his size can shoot. Look at Dirk Novinski (excuse the spelling), he is 7 ft and has the ability to shoot the 24ft. 3 point shot.
  21. He is also now the number 2 scorer in UNC history behind Phil Ford and he has done it in three years instead of the four that it took Phil Ford and Sam Perkins.
  22. Well, Direct TV came and hooked up my setup this afternoon, and TWC finally shoed up to reattach the wire out at the street that had evidently blow down sometime yesterday morning between 2:00 am and 6:00 am. It only layed in the guy across the streets yard for a day in a half. > Big T
  23. My lab done somthing like that when he was around six or eight months old. One moring I heard a huge thud then followed by yelping. He had snuck into the fishing room one morning and got a hold of a rod rigged with 17# test line and a Storm Swim shad. He broke the line in one motion. He has never bothered a rod and reel since. Sorry did not mean to hyjack your thread, just wanted to share that. I glad you dog was okay though.
  24. I hear ya, nothing wrong with venting. I just started a thread about my cable. I tell you boats are really a money pit. They are fun but somthing is always craping out, espcially on saltwater boats. All my friends who had bigger offshore boats said that the two happiest days of the life was: The day they bought their boat and the day they sold it. Hope everthing starts looking up for you. Big T
  25. Congratulations!
