Wife got me a Quantum Code.
Dude, I would keep it, you'll never know if you like it unless you try it. Besides there aren't many wives that would go through the touble of getting a reel as a present unless it was Christmas. Jusy my thoughts. Big T

North Cadalaca vs. Duke
2x Paulus just got posterized by Greene. Wow! This is a different team with Lawson. You got that right. One half down, one more to go. I think we might beat Puke, I mean Duke.

How can ESPN
Muddy, It's all cool. I am a too young to remember the ABA, or the UCLA teams of the 60' and 70's. But I am a basketball junkie and love to watch as many old highlight films and shows on the history of basketball. T

Is it windy where you are???
I beleive the wind is blowing 20-30 knots here. I went to Dick's Sporting Goods earlier and there was one of those flashing signs that they put in front business's blown over.

North Cadalaca vs. Duke
Yes, but in both games against NC State they struggled. State just sucks so bad that they allowed them to come back in both games, Also, in the first game against Carolina, Ty Lawson did not play. The Heels are a different team without him. They play at a slower pace. I am not knocking Duke. I do not like them as far a athletics go. I do think they are a good team and I respect what Coach K has done, I just do not think they are playing great basketball right now. It should be a good game as usual. UNC's record as #1 against Duke is 7-1.

North Cadalaca vs. Duke
Sorry Burley but I do not think that will happen. Duke struggled against State, who in my opinion is the worst basketball team in the State of North Carolina. And that includes the smaller schools like UNCW, Davidson, and ECU.

North Cadalaca vs. Duke
I am pulling for Carolina, Not sure about the score. I believe it will go down to the wire. I will say Carolina by 3 or 4 points.

How can ESPN
Muddy, Ewing won a National Championship in 1984 and lost the titile game in 1985. I think ESPN was going on what these guys did in college not their pro career. This is why Christian Laetner was higher than Jordan. He won back to back titles at Duke.

How can ESPN
Hmm... I'm surprised Michael Jordan didn't make your top five. He seemed "a little above average" to me. 8-) I am a huge Carolina fan.I think Michael Jordan was a good college player, and he went to high school in Wilmington. However, he did not become the icon until he was in college. It should be noted that 2 of the top 3 come from a school that won 10 of 12 National Titles. I will agree Catt in that Pistol Pete should've been higher than five. His records were set at time when there was not a 3 point shot and will never be broken. These kids will not stay in school long enough to do. it. I think that the reason Pete Maravich was not higher is because LSU never won a National Championship while he was there. I agree with the poll with the exception that Walton should have been higher than Karem. Walton was an first squad All American all three years he played and he is the only person at UCLA to have his number retired. I heard this was because at UCLA, to have your number retired you have to be an All American all 4 years to that you played. Back in the 60' and early 70's freshman did not play at the varsity level.

Three More Weeks, Hopefully
It has been close to three weeks since I had surgery to remove two small tumors on my spinal cord. The tumors were benign or low grade. My back feels great, very little pain. Just some stiffness late at night and first thing in the morning. Tylenol has taken the place of pain killers. I have to go back to Duke University, Monday to get scheduled for some radition therapy. More of a preventative measure than anything else. I am hoping to be back on the water in the next 3-4 weeks, which is perfect beacuse spring is right around the corner. I am so fortunate that I was in good physical and spiritual shape, I feel that I am about a month and a half ahead in my rehab as compared to my first surgery in 2006. Thanks for all the support I recieved from diffent members when I made my first post weeks ago. Thanks, Big T PS- Sorry for such a long post.

Inshore rods?
Alot of guys are using Bass rods for inshore fishing, I use a 7ft MH Shimano Clarus and a 7ft. Mh BPS Extreme Spinning rod for inshore use. The main difference I far as I can tell is the eyes. Alot of Saltwater rods have double foot eyes. I would be scared of using a Carrot Stick in the salt. Most people feel that the rod is the most important item in the equation. However, for saltwater fishing, I feel the reel is more important, especially when fighting fish that are capable of making huge runs. There is where you need a reel with a strong drag. Just my opinion, hope this helps

Horrific incident in Palm Beach, Florida today.
I agree 100%, I think society has become numb to violence. This is evidenced by the movies, video games and such that we watch or play. Very sad situation for everyone invloved. The victim's family will now have to live wihout a husband and a father. The shooter's family will have to live with the knowledge that he killed and wounded a bunch of innocent people, then took his own life. Sad, Very Sad Big T

Rods for less than 100 bucks and reels for less than a hundred$
My favorite rod is a 7ft. Mh Shimano Clarus Spinning -$69. it is a tough rod, it has been used for everthing from inshore saltwater to bass fishing. My favorite spinning reel is an older Symtre 4000. It has a smaller frame than the newer ones. Anohter reel that I like is hte Plueger Trions. I have two of them that I use for ultralite panfishing. I just picked up a 5'4" Allstar/Abu Garcia Light action combo lastnight for $49.99 after the $10 coupon I had. I can't wait to use this in the panfish down here. If I like this Abu Reel it may replace my old Symtre that is starting to wear out, or I am buy another Trion. Alot of reel for the money.

What kind of hair do you have?
Come on, you have to sport the combover. If I ever go bald that's exactly what I'm gonna do, along with a ton of gel so that it's like a helmet. I have normal medium-length brown hair, been wanting to grow a mullet and handlebar 'stash for years but can't get up the nerve. I noticed my first gray hair when I was in my mid-teens. Now I'm almost 24 and I have a bunch of grey hair. I tell the ladies it's a sign of wisdom ;D Seriously though, I don't mind - it's better than going bald I guess. Sorry, I can't bring myself to do it. I had an uncle that tried to comb over 4 or 5 strands of hair, it was hilarious.

What kind of hair do you have?
Back about 5-10 years ago I had blond, curly hair. However since it is thinning out up top I keep it short. I am trying to avoid the whole comb over thing.

Had Surgery Last Week.
Thanks Preach4bass, I feel great, I had great doctors and lots of prayers. I did so well I almost felt bad, because I was up walking after a major surgery and the floor I was on, housed pateints who had strokes, back and neck surgery etc. Some could even walk on their own. Not trying to brag or minimize own surgery, but I was not half as bad off as some of the other patients. It hepld that I was in good physical shape before the surgery.

Had Surgery Last Week.
I just thought I would post this. I mentioned in a couple posts in the last few weeks, that I was going to have to have more spinal cord surgery to remove a tumor recurrence. I actually had to have two small tumors removed from my lower back about six inches apart. I was told there would be a chance of motor deficiet and paralysis, due to the fact that they had already cut me once in the same spot. Well I had my surgery Tuesady the 19 at Duke University Medical Center and everthing went great. I had to lay flat on my back until this past Saturday. When they let me up to start my walking and such, I ended up walking a measuured 1/2 around the Nueroscience floor the frist day. I was relaesed Sunday after walking around 3/4 Sunday. I knew I was going to be fine because I was in good shape, but I suprised everyone including my self. I still have to doue some radation therapy even though the tumors were considerd benign but I feel great, not having to use pain killers and I should be ready to hit the water once spring arives. Sorry fo the long post but I am really excited and fornuante that everything went so well. Big T
