Reels for Braid with Fluoro leader
Correct When I try to do it with a Tatula, the knot won't make it through the T-wing. The Fuego doesn't have that.

Reels for Braid with Fluoro leader
If I plan to use braid with a fluorocarbon, should I be looking at certain reels? I don't think I could do a braid-fluoro leader with my Tatula.

10% off everything
"Blue Craw" skirt has quite a bit of green pumpkin or green pumpkin with a blue shimmer. IMO black or dark blades is better for chatterbaits all around, but you could go for something with flash if you want. Just my 2 cents

Dedicated jig rod
Taking responsibility? Like paying the $100 they ask for.... this is some wild high horse type stuff on this topic wowza

Best bait for big bear
Wrong forum, but if you have any big slabs of meat laying around that'd be a good place to start...

Dedicated jig rod
Yes, but you've broken a $500 rod. If you have a bunch of rods and decide, I don't really need to replace it, different story I can understand that. But if you're going to replace it anyways, you've got 3 options: 1) Spend $500 on a new rod 2) Spend $100 on a new rod and get a $100 quality rod 3) Spend $100 on a new rod and get a $500 quality rod Please tell me you're going with option 3?

Dedicated jig rod
I think warranty coverage is whatever the company defines it as…

Dedicated jig rod
G-Loomis’ warranty does cover that though- provided you are willing to pay the replacement fee. You aren’t even “pulling one over” on them so I don’t understand @Catt stance at all. They literally tell you that it’s okay to do this if it’s your fault, and you have such superior morality that you’d rather pay the full cost to replace?

Dedicated jig rod
So spend $500 on a G-Loomis and snap it. Totally your fault. Their warranty program says that's cool, give us $100(ish) and we'll send you a new one. You aren't turning it in?

Dedicated jig rod
You don't worry about warranties until you actually have to use them. I'll avoid Daiwa at all costs and gladly spend my money on anything made by Pure Fishing after a few warranty experiences this past year...

Lucky to have local tackle shops nearby
Any local shop that I've been too has been way overpriced compared to places online. If I need ONE thing urgently I might stop in and grab it, but otherwise the excess cost is not worth the convenience... Why is this bad? Fishing gear is expensive, and we want a lot of it. Big Box stores and online shopping are cheaper, why would I avoid that?

Line for my jig set up?
14 pound fluoro (Shooter) for smaller jigs or standard wire hooks. Thinker ones I'll push it up to 17 pound Abrasx but I can't deal with 20 pound fluoro. Just not worth it...

My first Tackle Warehouse order.
You can literally return anything to them, free of charge, for any reason. I've used rods, decided I didn't like it, threw the tag back on and off they go. Refund in 3-5 days. That being said, Omnia is better provided they have what you are looking for...

What's in your one 5007?
I need a black and blue jig and a green pumpkin jackhammer. I have not used any other lure since July of last year.

Friendly fishing bets. ?
We call them fish wars in my boat. It basically consists of casting to the same spot at the same time and seeing if one of you catches a fish. See your partner land a lure in a good spot, call it out and try to land your cast as close to his as possible and the battle is on. A decade later, it usually comes up 2 or 3 times per day and I think a fish has been caught twice but boy it's exhilerating when it happens....

Chatterbait & Crankbait Setup
I used a Daiwa Tatula 6'10" MH rod last year for chatterbaits-with braid. I lost a few fish, but didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary. That rod is STIFF for a MH, especially compared to what I used most of this year- Abu Garcia Vendetta 6'9" MH. I also switched to fluorocarbon. I did not lose a single fish but more importantly I could see that they were hooked much better and could feel that they had just a little longer to suck it in before I set the hook. It's not something I would have ever noticed if I didn't try something a bit softer. FWIW, I also tried a Heavy Fast dobyns rod and it was waaaay to soft for my liking. It's not a myth Edit: Should clarify that X-Fast isn't what would cause you to lose fish, but something that's overly stiff is definitely a problem for a chatterbait..

Small Mouth Bass Fish Mount Log Taxidermy Repair
I'm going to assume this bad transport and handling happened after it was delivered to you?

Crankbaits what do you carry?
A few custom DT-6 and Strike King 1.5's. Throw them on a standard MH/F setup but it's been over a year since I tied one on..

New Rage Fire Craw
I've had more success with the Menace, rigged normally. However, I haven't had a chance to test this out yet but the rage bug (or any similar flat bodied type trailer) is supposed to be a better option for fishing a chatterbait around wood...
