  1. If I can't do all of those things with a single jig, it's going right in the trash....
  2. I have never ground down a barb on a hook and I've never been to the ER. I'll happily release any fish I catch but I'm not going to actively reduce my chances of keeping that big one on the line either....
  3. I think you are okay as long as you know where everything is. Outside of that, I’m not sure how organizing your tackle a certain way is going to help you boat more fish…
  4. Why is fishing a jig and detecting bites with them so much more difficult than a Texas rigged plastic?
  5. I’m thinking bottom contact baits here but what bait do you use the most and how do you rig it? I’d be interested in hearing what your preferences are for weights/size and hooks also.
  6. The one thing I’ve learned from this thread is I should probably give that tube of mega strike that’s sitting in the bottom of my tackle box a shot this year…
  7. A chatterbait and a jig are the two that I’d reach for, but I’d just need something that I can swim at multiple depths in the water column and something that I can slow down and maintain bottom contact with. As I say that, I realize I could get by with just one if I had to- and that would be the right all purpose jig. The other two I threw last year were a frog and a small Swimbait. I may try to throw some Texas rigged plastics this year a bit in place of a jig, but not sure yet.
  8. 4- but I could survive with 2.
  9. Jackhammer for wood?
  10. Weedless chatterbait?
  11. It's a good jig.... screw lock keepers are awful though
  12. Lol it was probably a comment by me! I lose them there, but I'll still throw them.... that's where the fish are!!
  13. I'd throw a jackhammer ?‍♂️
  14. Picasso has a couple... I'm tempted to try but they are even more expensive than Jackhammer's and I haven't figured out how to get them any cheaper like you can Jackhammers.... might be worth the expense for me fishing them in wood though
  15. Agree- I'd rather fish the way I enjoy fishing, even if it means catching less some days. I keep it pretty minimal.... I can spend more money on Jackhammers when I don't have to worry about stocking drop shot weights or Senko's ? I have not caught a fish on a ned rig, but I haven't thrown one yet either. My list would be really long if we went that route...
  16. If we are keeping it to things we've actually fished, I haven't caught a bass on a jerkbait. Pike? Sure... Monster crappie? You bet.... Bass? Never Plenty that I've never tried though? Dropshot, etc...
  17. My winter cabin fever time has been spent with a bucket of water and numerous jigs/trailers testing how they sit on the bottom. I was surprised to find out that most of them are pretty blah when they hit the bottom- rolling over or just settling down, but I found one combo that stood above the rest. A 3/8 oz @Siebert Outdoors brush jig paired with an Xzone Muscleback craw sits up off the bottom beautifully in a perfect attacking position. I think the somewhat lighter hook compared to a thick flipping hook makes a difference here and obviously the "floating claw" that xzone touts. I tried the smaller model MB Craw and adrenaline craw on a few other jigs and did not get the same effect.
  18. I used straight braid on a MH fast stick for years with crankbaits and did not have any issues.
  19. Jackhammer 3/8 oz BHite Delight Green Pumpkin rage menace trailer
  20. "Craw" trailers can represent much more than just craws. A bama craw Rage Craw on a bluegill swim jig is an awesome combo....
  21. It won’t- my boat has a small rod locker and it won’t fit a rod that long. The ability to buy a rod 7’ or longer would make my buying experiences much easier!!
  22. I had one... awesome reel... but he's looking for round reels
  23. Do they have a round Revo Toro?
  24. For sure... I just got the personal email today confirming- a month after someone fraudulently charged my account and 3 months after the purchase that caused it....
  25. How so? Tackle Warehouse has confirmed this happened. Nothing they could have done to stop someone from getting into their system and stealing people's credit card numbers?
