Ive been pretty interested in these but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.. does the black hold up better than the jackhammers? Is Large or regular a more “standard” size blade?

A chatterbait for me is much more versatile and not really season/condition specific- I have not had the same year round success with a spinnerbait.

It's not difficult to trim a bit off the tip of a beaver to get the weight to fit seamlessly.... much more seamless than that monstrosity..

Does that include travel/lodging or is that just for the guide experience?

I picked up a spool from a recent Omnia order. I can't find a review anywhere on this stuff, but it's a Seaguar product and it won best in show at Icast. At $8.50/spool vs $25 for Invisx or Abrazx it's definitely worth a shot- I won't use it with any baits where sensitivity is important but figured it might be good for chatterbaits.

I know very little about swimbaits but if you are going to be throwing soft swimbaits that are approaching the 4 oz mark I would definitely get the XH...

I purchased some tubes for the first time this week- looking around, standard tube size seems to be about 3.5". I went with the Maxscent tubes, so when the time came to select a size I went with the 3.5" model. These things are pretty big, you guys throw these on spinning gear? I'm planning on throwing a 3/16 weight on it and tossing on casting gear.... just doesn't seem very finessey to me...

See now I can throw a shaky head on casting gear.... I'm good now

Every time I convince myself that I don't need that finesse stuff and remind myself that I've never seen KVD with a spinning reel I end up reading something like this and go right back to square one....

Never really thrown red.... for some reason, orange slays the pike around here so I try to avoid it... I've had much better luck with chartreuse year round

The adrenaline craws have a bit more action on the arms. The wider body of the Adrenaline make it a better option for wood cover imo... Yes, I thought he was looking at Adrenaline Craw vs muscle back craw. The adrenaline bug is different...
