  1. I applied Bang Anise to plastics for ~6 months. If I benefitted, I mostly attribute this to the spray masking offensive odors. My catch rate did not worsen and perhaps improved slightly. BaitFuel marketing claims oil-based scents like Bang do not dissolve and consequently do not smell to bass. I recommend reaching your own opinion through critical thinking. Regardless of what bass think, I love anise scent.
  2. I believe that if the bite is going to pick up in a prefrontal condition, it can do so much earlier than we think
  3. @Boomstick out of curiosity by β€œeye” are you referring to the loop that holds the swivel?
  4. Just going to leave this here….
  5. Definitely been caught in a few storms. The worst was when I had to emergency beach the yak anywhere I could, tied it off, and ducked under a bush to avoid getting hit with hail during a hail storm. The weather can change very quickly Good situational awareness post
  6. @Carolina Pines oh yeah, @Captain Phil is the man. He's a wealth of knowledge on spinnerbait fishing and fishing in general. When I started fishing spinnerbaits, I started reading everything he had to say about spinnerbait fishing on here and a lot of my own spinnerbait style I tried to model against what he writes up here. I'm just not changing my preference of what I like in spinnerbait hooks. It works for me. It's all good. This is a forum. We're allowed to disagree.
  7. Well obviously we all are set in our own separate ways and we aren't going to change each other's mind
  8. Good luck brother and I’ll see what I can do for you on Stillhouse. I like fishing shallow in the winter, no doubt. It’s tough to forget though that my lake is 20ft low and ultra clear. Here’s to both of us figuring it out 🍻
  9. Dobyns Beast and Zorro Bango Blade also come with very long hooks if that is your thing. As I already discussed here, it’s just not β€˜my jam’
  10. @Woody B yeah, it might be a good idea to look for suburban lawns and opportunities for agricultural runoff when on the water. Or at least be aware of where it is
  11. Hey man, not disagreeing with you a bit. I thought to myself earlier this year that I can do better to do exactly what I say. If today is the day I get corrected by someone on the internet for fishing when I said I wouldn’t fish, no problem with it and no hard feelings
  12. It’s duly noted that we must be better men (and women) of our word. I actually say that with some sincerity. In the mean time thanks for the laugh.
  13. I think the rumblings are that I may get out for a couple or few trips soon too, before I may vanish? Moral of the story is: Never trust a BR member when they say they are done fishing for any length of time
  14. HA! HAHAHAHAHA Oh man that’s funny πŸ˜‚ Have fun πŸ˜ƒ. Throw a spinnerbait I think bass like those
  15. Once again watching
  16. Yeah….. Thats going in the TW cart 😎 Thank you πŸ˜ƒ
  17. That’s different. That’s really different. You been using that a lot?
  18. Winter fishing in Missouri was a whole different ball game for me. Like you say, there’s a question of if the water is going to be frozen or not, because you don’t know. That water is really cold regardless. I also had to downsize to get bit. The whole big bait mentality during the winter just didn’t seem to work over there. Would you agree? Missouri fishes a little different
  19. Told you, @king fisher I have no more comments 🀐
  20. We have to take care of stuff when stuff comes around. Y'all stay well and enjoy the time with Lynn and the dogs
  21. These are my people We understand one another πŸ˜„ If all y'all else saw my boxes of spinnerbaits you would begin to question a few things. My mental stability being one
  22. But not the last bass, no? πŸ˜ƒ
  23. December 17th, 2020. Gosh this is when I was still wearing glasses, using the old BPS scale, riding in the old paddle yak, and putting fish in the lap of my sweatpants. Gosh, I was dumb πŸ˜†
