Favorite Subway Grinder
IMHO non of the chain sandwich shops can be considered when the best I have ever eaten is from a locally owned shop. Once you have their "Italian Nightmare" nothing else is even worth considering. This sandwich is a full 4 inches thick and comes with your optional jalapeno peppers. I buy the whole one, eat 1/2 now for a meal and save the other half for next days meal. You cannot take a full bite from this sandwich, you must attack it from the edges, little by little.

-11 degrees
-10 here this morning and 0 right now. Got the wood burner fired and its nice and toasty. I built my house with 2x6 construction and it makes a whale of a difference with these temperatures.

Are you older than dirt?
My dad had a 1961 Plymouth Fury with push button transmission. Its what I learned to drive. Push first gear, stand on the brake, stand on the gas and do a power jack, release the brake and that 318 would lay a real nice patch of rubber. Hit the button for second and get another patch. Course, I didn't have to pay for the tires ;D I later had a 1967 Dodge Dart with a 3 on the tree.

gulp alive
I did fairly well with the leeches last year, so when I ran out I bought the jumbo leech, thinking it would be a bit bigger, heavier, thicker bait. It wasn't, just longer, which made it harder to rig. I have some of the minnows, did so so with those. Leakage is a BIG problem. Until that issue gets resolved, I won't buy any more. I put them in an old styrofoam cooler to carry them, but its a pain, especially fishing from a bank.

I remember about 46 of them on Glenn's list. I'm so old, I might be dead

Oil at 37.59 a Barrell
But you were politely asked by the left and the environmentalists to please, PLEASE, cut back on your consumption of oil. And you did so! This will be your reward. ;D

Smoking ban in Va?
Wait 50 years before you say that dude, you never know. Both my grandparents smoked but quit before I was born, so they have been smoke free for over 20 years. Last week we found out my grandmother now has lung cancer and my grandfather has had 2 battles with it in the past 3 years. Watching someone slowly die of cancer and breathing troubles should make just about anyone quit. It's what got me to quit. Edit: I could care less if somone smokes. Your life, do whatever you want. Just don't go blowing smoke in my face. My father and his 3 siblings all smoked. The story is that the house used to be blue with smoke. Poor grandma, she lived til she was 99. Dad died at 90. Go figure. Personally, I like a non smoking restaurant, and I used to own a pipe and cigar store. Tobacco paid for a chunk of my house. I agree it should be up to the business. But there is a much greater issue and RW alluded to it. When the gov't starts banning this and that, here and there, what's the next thing to go? Little by little your freedoms disappear. If you don't think smoking can be banned in your own home, think again. They can do it, and it will be under the guise of protecting your children or something like that. If bars want to permit smoking, non-smokers will stay away. Either the bar will do enough business without them or the bar will change its policy. Or, non-smokers can go find a non-smoking bar. Anyway, a free market works, and banning legal activities, that's a slippery slope.

Gas prices jump!
Don't worry. They'll figure out some way to get more money out of you. I've read where, Washington state, I believe, is considering a mileage tax. Since fuel efficient cars and electric hybrids won't be purchasing enough gas to fund road projects, they need to find an additional source of revenue. Have you noticed, every time we conserve or save, we get punished?

Please Clear Your Cache!
I was kind of following the instruction video in the Firefox link above. It checked cookies. I didn't clear my history though because I know from experience that wipes out the link in the favorites menu if I've recently been on the site. Been there, done that. ;D

I just cleared mine and it took away my username and showed me as a guest. I had to go hunt up the password and log back in.

He's gone!!!
Sorry. COUCH. Got in a hurry. In the 20 years I've been married to his sister, we've been invited to his house, once, for dinner. He NEVER misses a free meal here!

He's gone!!!
You can pick your nose, you can pick your friends. You can't pick your family. ;D One of my bro-in-laws is frequently sleeping on my coach when he comes over for family function. Chews snuff, too, always spits in cups and leaves it around. >

What new rod and/or reel did you get for Christmas??
My Christmas present to myself was an Abu Garcia, CB5600 round. Its going to go on a Fenwick GoldenWing 7'0" MH I picked up 3 or 4 months ago for $50.

Swivle and Spinnerbaits?
I find tying the line directly to a spinerbait keeps the line in the bend, where it belongs. With a swivel, the line slides down the arm, on occasion, messing up your retrieve. For inlines, I always use a swivel.

What new lures did you get for Christmas??
Nuttin' yet! Going to Gander Mountain and get 2 Rapala X-Rap jointed shads, perch and hot steel. I have a $10.00 off card from the last time I was there so these 2 will only cost me a total of $10.99.

Do I need Norton
Ad-Aware is an anti spyware program. Works good. So does Spy-bot. First time I ran them it found several hundred questionable items on my computer, such as cookies, unwanted programs, malware, spyware, etc. Easy to get those off your computer after you do a scan.
