Wife...and yes, it's a rant.
I tell my wife where I'm going to be all the time, she just doesn't listen. She calls anyway (I hate cell phones) Some day I'm gonna have an affair just so she can be right.

General Walleye Advice?
I'm certainly no expert, but I have hooked a few and done some reading about walleye. They appear to be a more difficult fish to catch, relating to certain points, dropoffs, etc at various times of the year. I guess they will hit on a variety of baits but the simple nightcrawler harness seems to be one of the preferred baits. Most people on our nearby walleye lake troll for them in or near old river channels. Shore fishing appears to be rather ineffective, at least for me. I believe the strike is rather light so it takes a little experience to know when you have one on. They tend to spit a jig rather quickly. Two other baits I've seen mentioned alot are long minnows like Smithwicks and vertical jigging spoons. I recently saw about 6 boats all clustered around bridge pilings, it seemed like most everybody was vertically jigging a spoon. Cloudy days seem to be preferred weather conditions due to the sensitivity of their eyes to light. Also, I've heard some moderate wave action, referred to as "walleye chop" is also preferred. Funny this should come up today because I am going to try to get out today and see if I can get a few 'eyes. I'm going to start of with the nightcrawlers and worm harness. My only problem is I'm shorebound, so we'll see how it goes.

CASABLANCA
Now that calls for a huge bowl of buttered popcorn, some adult beverages and the phone off the hook. Key Largo, haven't seen that one in years . I might have to make a trip to the video store.

protecting plastic grubs, worms, etc.
I use a compartment Plano box for grubs. I can move the dividers to accomodate large or small grubs and save one compartment for a supply of jig heads. Whenever i want to use just grubs I simply pick up that box and carry it with me with a full selection of sizes and colors.

Real important stuff here.....
I have to replace the burners in my gas grill and seeing as they cost as much as a charcoal grill (a nice one) I'm thinking of going to charcoal.I never really liked the gas grill since they went just to the burner covers and did away with the lava rock. I liked being able to soak hickory wood in water and put it on top of the lava rock. Gave the meat a much better flavor. JMHO

Golfing
I played for a very short while but I found it to be an ineffectual endeavor to place an insignificant sphere in an obscure hole with inadequate tools.

Had a great trip to Yosemite :-) (lots of pics)
Very nice. I've been there as well. There are so many fantastic views there it's just amazing. I've always admired Ansel Adam's work and years ago, patterned alot of my black and white after his vision, along with a few other b&w artists.

Wow whats wrong with some people
I think that is one of the most horrific things I've ever heard done to a child. The only punishment I can think of that is worthy is having the father's eyes gouged out. Truly one sick sob.

Need help with digital cameras
Many point and shoots do indeed take great pictures. But two things you might want to keep in mind. You may not always want to use the recommended auto settings, therefore you need manual capabilities on the camera. Also you mentioned racing pictures. You might want to consider something that will shoot 3 or more frames per second. Some point and shoots have shutter lag so you either need to really learn to anticipate action or you frequently miss the shot. Faster lenses will suit you better if you shoot racing, particularly at night and also for wildlife, enabling you to throw the background out of focus.

Would you buy a Chrysler or GM product
I own a Jeep and a Dodge Durango. Had some problems with the Jeep, but they were resolved. Not 1 problem with the Dodge, but I'd have to give serious consideration to looking elsewhere. Not so much because of the cars but because of the dealer that now has all the brands. I don't have relationships with any of the salesmen and they are much more high pressure than my former dealership.

Jitterbug
I don't know why, with as successful as the Jitterbug is, that better quality hooks don't come on the lure. I have gotten a few bass on the aforementioned black bugs at night. I also recently purchased a large red and white bug that I want to try for pike in our river. I read somewhere that pike like red and white like dardevles and such, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet.

Can this be right?
The only time I ever bought new books was my first quarter. Unless I couldn't find one used. The best part is, the important texts are already underlined or highlighted. And never buy the book until you actually receive an assignment in it.
