  1. Heck no!!! I enjoy the break that hard water allows. Nothing better than a hot cup of coffee, kitchen window view of the freezing landscape, and my laptop opened to all the tackle sites with multiple carts stocked ????
  2. Bantam does have a small profile. I had one and sold it…didn’t like how it fit my hand. I believe the Chronarch is similar in size to a 16’ Metanium.
  3. How is the balance on that particular model. I had a GLX 895 that I sold off it was WAY too tip heavy…
  4. I’m liking this post. To be honest, I was never really a fan of that darker finish on the 20’ Metanium. The lighter finish on the shallow edition really caught my eye. Good to know, I can throw a 150 spool in and go
  5. Definitely….Seattle vs Chicago dialects vary significantly!
  6. Nice job!! I find those chatter-baits excel when the bass are up shallow in early spring or late fall around grass lines. Every fish I’ve ever caught on a chatterbait has been a dink of about 1lb The spinnerbaits seem to get the bigger fish so I’m primarily throwing spinnerbaits instead Good luck out there and be safe!
  7. Use it……but only if you scream like a homeless crackhead every-time you hook one
  8. Anyone using subject rod line and have any feedback? These have caught my eye but I don’t have any dealers close by (that I’m aware of) that carry these. I’ve been watching a few of Randy’s videos on YouTube and he seems to give high praise to these. I’d be using it as a Texas rig / jig rod. The Perfect Pitch seems to tick all the boxes for the applications I’m planning on using it for. It’s only October and the bait monkey is already on my shoulder which is not going to be good for my pocketbook during hard water season.
  9. Kudos to you guys for helping a kid out! Those are the types of interactions that never get forgotten and likely fueled his passion even more! Bravo!
  10. Awesome to see that shipment email. Those are always good to get when you’re not expecting them until a later date!!!! ??? Please put us know how the rod is once you get it…enjoy!
  11. Watching this video is like watching Fred Couple’s swing a golf club……SMOOTH and FLUID!
  12. Thanks for the awesome feedback! I really like the look of the new BB1 Pro. I’ve held one a few times and it’s palms perfect for me. Got about $750 in trades going on a gift card…looks like it’s going to be a BB1 Pro paired up with another Falcon Cara Amistad!
  13. I’m about to retire my 2016 Shimano Metanium’s and have been looking into trying another brand. The Lew’s Super Duty 300 and the new generation BB1 Pro have caught my eye. Anyone use these that could provide some feedback?
  14. What weights are everyone throwing? Im 1/2 oz 70% of the time unless I’m throwing deep (1oz)
  15. I’ve personally never fished them all that much until this fall and let me tell you, spinnerbaits are becoming one of my confidence baits by far. So much fun to fish. Love the strikes on them too……the thump from the blades, DONK, then hang on!
  16. In the dead of summer and when conditions are right; lilly pad canopies for me. It’s my guaranteed “go-to”. I fish it vertically. Either a jig or a pegged, texas rigged creature bait on a 1/4 oz weight at most. Around the perimeter of the lay down; spinnerbait.
  17. When punching; you are triggering reaction bites. Therefore shouldn’t matter which brand creature bait you use. Granted some have more action than others, but for this application it’s null and void from my experience.
  18. I’m a big fan of the Okuma TCS (a) rods and might check out one of these. Okuma bass rods are great. Not a lot of hype and they often fly under the radar, but make a darn good quality rod at a fantastic price
  19. 8 speed for any bait I work with the rod. 6 speed for baits worked with the reel (cranks, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, etc). Love me a slow rollin” spinnerbait this time of year on my 6 speed
  20. I’m amazed I have yet to get myself hooked because I get them hooked on car seats, my shorts, my shirts, my jeans, rod sleeves, my daughter’s hair, every dang time!
  21. Shame to see but I can’t help but notice how close the fish are and how far back the gentlemen are from them to make them appear bigger. I’d say those guys are a good 6-7’ behind the fish.
  22. Rod is toast my friend. Not repairable. Possible solution; Reach out to the manufacturer and explain your plight. Be honest and upfront. Some builders have a no questions asked replacement program (you pay a small fee), some might be able to offer a discount on a replacement, and some might replace it for free. Can’t hurt to ask!
  23. I heard we will be able to fly our trucks and rigs to the lake!
  24. You guys have inspired me to place my first Digitaka order this Friday. $226 shipped for a brand new Metanium? Sign me up…again and again and again ?
