Gary Yamamoto autographed hat
It only has value for people like us, and as much of a presence we think we have because so many congregate here and we all know of, like, 50 YouTube fishermen, we're few and far between. I would keep it for my personal collection because of my love for the hobby and sport due to the fact that it means so much to me personally, but not because of it have real value.

Anyone have the Lew's KVD reels yet?
I ordered 2 in 7.5:1 left hand. And 1 200 size spinning reel. Anxiously awaiting TW to ship them. I have no doubt that the casting reels should be great, but I'm very curious about the spinning reel.

A popular bass rod power/type that you personally don't find a use for?
I can't find a use for a Medium powered spinning rod. This started to occur for me over the past couple of seasons, really culminating last season. Now I'm a spinning rod fiend; I do find a heavy use for them; but only a Medium Light. I can't think of anything anymore that is commonly thrown on a Medium powered spinning rod that I wouldn't rather be throwing on a casting rod. If I'm going small or finesse enough to really need a spinning rod, it's going to be the Medium Light, such as for Ned Rigs.

Using lefty and right baitcasters.
Right for chuck and wind moving baits Left for baits I work with the rod I'm right handed and cannot effectively or comfortably work a bottom contact bait with the rod with my left hand

How exactly do fish manage to appear in literally every body of water?

Go-to saying before setting the hook
I'm almost always silent no matter what. Rather visibly emotionless, really. Even when I caught my PB not a single sound came from me other than the clicks of my phone camera, but my hands were shaking and my heart was pounding and racing. The best someone will get from me is when I'm fishing with either my best friend or fiance and all I say is "got one" after I've lipped and unhooked it.

Is there anything wrong with having 3 identical setups?
Nothing wrong with it. It's all about what you have room for and what you're willing to do with your own money. Personally I wouldn't have two identical setups. Something would be different, if not gear ratio or rod length, then at least the line choice.

Dobyns champion 702c
Personal preference. I too prefer a 3 power for even 3/16oz finesse jigs with a trailer.

Who do you eat ?
I only eat land critters

Budget frogging setup 2021 season
That's moreso true for their 7'+ rods. I have a 664 Fury that I thought would be similar to the 704 Fury, which I like for bigger traps and some other moving baits, as well as some jigs and t-rigs. The 664 is a lot different. It's very fast and very stiff. It shares little in common with its taller brothers. I think it would make a fine frog rod with heavy braid and a fast reel.

Try As I Might, Never Have I Ever Caught A Bass On A ___ .
Buzzbait is the popular lure that I've literally never caught a bass on because it doesn't work out for me. Spinnerbaits and bladed jigs I have caught bass on but it's so few and far between that I've pretty much given up on them. I can throw squarebills, lipless crankbaits, swim jigs, swimbaits etc and they get munched but spinnerbaits and bladed jigs repulse the bass when it's I who am throwing them.

SMB: Possible to do well Spring through Fall with nothing but Soft Plastics?
Ned rig and drop shot, game over

Prime months for big bass
It's always been summer for me. I have a feeling the spring and fall prime time for bass thing has to do with the south and the west coast, where their spring and fall might as well be our summer in the north. The frenzy that's talked about in the spring and fall has never applied to me in any body of water. Come June, it through September are absolutely killer. I can expect numbers and size.

How to fish it
Find the baitfish and fish in the last place the books would tell you to fish. That's literally how I learned to approach ponds like these. The books are made for bigger water and they can lead us to what looks good in smaller bodies of water but not what produces well. Really, honestly, just look at it and think "not the side" and the fish it. They will be there.

Jerkbait combo $200 price range
The combo you've been using has done well but you want to change it up - not because of performance - but because of what you've "heard"? Let me tell you: the Dobyns Fury 3 power is used by many many people for treble baits because it's more of a M/MF and does really well.

How exactly do fish manage to appear in literally every body of water?
There isn't a single answer because there are many reasons. From birds, to people, to floods, to other waterways, to things we don't even understand. Put simply, it's nature, and nature has always and will always do its job.

Is Bass Fishing a Seasonal Sport?
It's basically April-October where I'm from. March and November can be doable but also outright miserable.

Favorite time of year and conditions to fish?
During the dead of summer when most people are complaining that the fishing isn't good, I'm having the best time, catching the most and the biggest fish of the year. The infamous spring and fall are my version of summer: fishing isn't good, it's not greatly productive, and lots of dinks when they actually are biting.

How to get her into fishing
All that taught me was that they'll turn a fishing trip into a swimming trip, thus not really getting them into fishing and turning into a bad time for you. They've got to actually want to pick up the rod for real, otherwise instead of wasting your valuable fishing time, do something different with them.

Never get to crankbaits...
I only throw squarebill and lipless crankbaits, but that's because I'm a shore bound, shall water bank beater. The squarebills pretty much only get used in rock bottom rivers. The ponds have entirely too much muck for them. One day I'd like to try fishing a deep diver.

New gear. Help on a line choice.
I had about $1,000~ to spend on my new pond and small river bank fishing gear (rod, reel, and line all included in that figure) I decided on: Dobyns Champion XP 684C Lew's Tournament Pro Dobyns Sierra 683C Lew's Tournament MP Dobyns Fury 662SF Shimano NASCI 1000 My choices were methodical. I needed something sensitive for jigs and Texas rigs. The Champion accomplishes that. It can and will fish 3/8oz chatterbaits and spinner baits, as well, and basically anything else I tie on within its weight range; but primarily bottom contact. I needed something for lipless crankbaits and squarebill crankbaits, but that will also fish weightless soft plastics. The Sierra, with its flex, accomplishes this. I also needed something for finesse, primarily Ned rigs, 4" Senkos wacky rigged, trick worms wacky rigged, and swimming grubs. The Fury accomplishes this. I decided to go cheaper here because the Ned rig is a no feel bait and the hooks I use for the wacky rig sticks them with little effort or feel; I get a tug and lean and reel into it. Now here's my dilemma. I'm putting 10lb Yozuri on the Sierra/MP and 10lb Power Pro to 8lb Red Label on the Fury/NASCI. I have absolutely no idea what to put on the Champion/Pro. With all that I want to do with that set-up, there are merits for straight monofilament, copolymer, straight fluorocarbon, or braid to a leader of any of those things. Sometimes trebles will be used on the Champion, such as for bigger lipless crankbaits, spooks, ploppers, as well. What would YOU do? (Tatsu is absolutely off the table)

Releasing and thumbing the spool while fighting fish
Personally I just trust that drag I pay for and it does its job without me having to get weird about it.

Opinions on St. Croix Legend Tourn.
Tip heavy must be a real thing, but I've never noticed something weighing mere ounces as being heavy or uncomfortable either. I just kind of laugh at the notion.

Expride A vs 20 Zodias
Things should be getting a lot better with availability and shipping with the season coming to and end for much of the US.

Need new Spinning Rod for around $100
That's strange. I think the 702sf feels more like a L.
