  1. noooo...those frogs are not gonna throw themselves...pfft.
  2. that thing sucks butt...send it to me for proper disposal. yuck.
  3. totally cool without pics. hahahh...
  4. I have a Hatsun .22 cal pellet rifle. I tried for 3 seasons to take a bird. No success. I went to take a tick and a bird came in. My friend picks up my rifle and hammers the bird in the throat and it lays down and dies on the spot. It was funny and infuriating all at once. ‘’I took the air chamber apart to fix a seal not realizing that my hand pump will never get a 3500 psi tube full, starting from zero. I’m dead in the water until I find a shop that can fill my reservoir. It is a PCP rifle.
  5. His. Primary goal was to get him his first bird.
  6. quick day trip with a friend. hope to get him on his first bird. I bought a license "just in case", but it isn't overly important for me to get one. my freezer is too full anyways. luckily I have a few shotshells left. he gets first shot, and I will shoot whatever thinks staying around was a good idea. I prefer fishing, but this should be good. it is a long drive for me, and I hope to fall asleep by 6:00PM. I played with my calls all afternoon and annoyed my cat and dog..and probably all the neighbors is my spring season the earliest one? anyone else heading out?
  7. I think I realize that some of you; I dont ever recall seeing any fish pictures from you. you dont like to post pics? or you really really suck at fishing I might be imagining it, but some of you..I cannot recall a fish pic. I am not talking about A-Jay.
  8. My friend went to delta. I had to work:( he got into some.
  9. thanks!! i got the same email. luckily, my coworder found me some in his town. i have not cracked into yet.
  10. the reviews on TW are brutal. "a brick swims better..." hahhaha.. I dont even love the whopperP. I like to cast close to cover and that lure dives into the water when it lands and always comes up twisted up in the weeds. could be my own casting skills, but it is annoying.
  11. thats why bass boats have pedestal seats..so you can look down at the unworthy.... you can't be expected to stand all day, or sit on the deck..not with all the rich food and pampering all your life.
  12. I agree 100% My brother and I once hunted near Marfa Tex. we hoped to do this shortcut thru some guys property. at the gate the guy had a very infamous nazi symbol. lets just say we went around. hahahaha...
  13. I see a guy with a holster at my local hike in lake. it looks great.
  14. I would eliminate the easy stuff first. double check hooks. you did. your drag right? is it so loose it is letting go at then hookset? I have to watch my buds. they have been known to loosen my drags as a joke. hahahha. funny. I think your rod with braid is a good match.
  15. any pics of the 6lb Tilapia!?? that sounds like fun. do they just hit the same bass offerings?
  16. Boat or Kayak. I think I would go with those Guardian Angel lights. so simple and self-powered.
  17. my answer is motivated by the pandemic. we all kinda adjusted to socially distancing. me? I am pretty careful, (knocking on wood) have been sick-free. I approach everyone on their terms. they offer a knuckle bump..sure. bump. handshake..okay. no physical contact? okay..I can head nod like a mofo. I think we are going back to the new normal. but for awhile there, we were not knocking on ANY doors. I skipped a few turkey hunts because my reclusive friends didnt want any outsiders bringing in anything. I was cool with it. I see winery ponds all over the place here. I am zero success so far. nobody will let me have access. I'll pull over and ask..usually asking over a property line fence. total respect to whatever answer I get. wineries have insurance concerns I bet.
  18. dang. pickleball? it was really just the fall right? the sport looks innocous enough. i hope she bounces back quickly and completly. i am about to go and help my friend assemble his competition ping pong table. our group gets intense.
  19. 12 or 14lb Sunline Sniper for everything except, punching and frogging. then my friend 65Lb braid gets the drivers seat. right or wrong, i just dont like complicated.
  20. i think a rod labeled for Cranking just tells the person shopping that it is ideally set up for reaction baits with treble hooks. you get the slower response from your hookset, so you dont knee-jerk the bait out of the bass', mouth..and you get the deep rod parabola to gently dampen the fish fight to keep the hooks from flinging out of the mouth from the hard bait swinging around like a pendulum. plus the moderate tip catapults crankbaits which are kinda wierd to cast to begin with. NOTHING says you can take that same parabolic rod and have a good time with bottom contact...maybe not with long casts and mono line. it is all marketing jargon. i cant even cast my friends fiberglass cranking rod. it feels so foriegn to me.
  21. Just me. i wouldnt go with a DC reel coming out the gate. you may as well start to learn right away. despite all the horror stories, you can really set the brakes and stuff on a reel to make it super easy to cast. and fairly backlash free. as you get better and better you can dial back the settings and go lighter and less aerodyanamic on the baits. heck you can peel off some line, tape the spool so the damage doesnt go further from there, and let a bait rip at the neighborhood park. a practice plug is so easy to fling to begin with. you on the other side of the country, or i would let you "hail-mary" one of my reels. i bet you will be surprised how NOT difficult it is. it is something you can easily ease your way into.
  22. i have some usual suspect type baits. like my #925 Senko. i only buy a few packs at a time. so i would wither away with respect to inventory fairly quickly. i run a lean supply chain. just a couple of plastic shoe boxes.
