My first finesse spin rod was a Phenix Maxim. 7-3 med. I still love the thing. It is super sensitive. Kinda ugly but whatever. I have more fish on that rod than the rest combined.

It would be crazy salty if you roasted a cure hunk.

I already own them. the MagDraft freestyle. I plan on having one tied on this spring. I own a better rod for it now, so it won't suck throwing them as before. and Dolite Beaver and friends. plus I am going to buy some Skinny Dippers for Stripers and will use them for LMB as well.

my Dobyns spinning is a 712 Kayden. I think. it is much more bendy than the Fury. IMHO. I can land my baits pretty gentle-like with small casts since it is whippy. I'm gonna try a Free-Rig on it this year.

I have one lizard. Zoom 6" in GP. on a dropshot it is stupid effective. last spring I could have sold them to my friends $1 each. I was outcatching them 10:1

I think it depends on how far you plan on throwing a whopper popper. my friend fires for the horizon and he uses a frog rod. he can get good hook penetration. me, not so much. that is a nice rod.

I only have two colors. whiteish and black/blue. I just adjust colors with my trailers. which I have a metric ton of..and various colors. I dont need spinnerbaits everywhere. I find them a pain to store. same thought pattern with my chatterB's. only green pumpkin and black blue.

I have had tooth problems and sinus issues all winter. PLUS our weather has been brutal anyways. my ailments are all kinda on the mend now and the sky is blue, but i found out that I am perfectly fine with NOT fishing that much in the winter. our waters get cold. high 40's? fish still kinda bite, but the windows are abbreviated. I have a dry suit, but putting one on is a PIA. i dont even find any laughter in "burping" the suit anymore. I have my gear ready, and I am waiting for more spring like things. I was thinking next weekend would be my jumping off point, but I just got a calendar reminder that it is our spring TURKEY OPENER. I have to let a consultant go at work and I am taking him turkey hunting. we are buds, and it bums me out I am out of budget for him. i called my landowner friend and he said he is thick with birds. it is go time. okay..so the weekend after that...I am going fishing. hahaha..lets just call it APRIL. April is my new jumping off point. lets do this California. spring is springing?

I love saukraut. I love most fermented stuff, like Kimchee. my wife invited friends over to walk. their timing was unfortunate. as I was finishing up the food they walked in (after their walk) and all said, "wow, that smells good!" my wife asks, "you all want to stay for dinner?" "YAY!" there are no leftovers friends. no day after hash!!! wow. just wow.
