Any particular new lure you plan to use this year?

If you already haven't*

I plan on using/trying Roboworms. I had ordered a couple packs from TW last year, but never got to try them as the wife and I had a baby and my time was with him and her. This is the closest to stock photo I could find on the worms. I got black and green pumpkin for my colors.

Good worms. The standard 6" is awesome dropshot worm. The fats are great for powershot fishing and neko as well. As for new,  looking at trying the KGB shad glides. Hard to find and pricey but they catch fish.

Way too much snow and ice here, but one new lure really has my attention. @alabama spothunter recommended the flashback mini a while ago and I figured I should get a couple.  Looks like a heck of a fish catcher--any kind of fish around here will nip at something like that. I think it will be an efficient search tool.

I already own them.  the MagDraft freestyle.  I plan on having one tied on this spring.  I own a better rod for it now, so it won't suck throwing them as before.

and Dolite Beaver and friends.

plus I am going to buy some Skinny Dippers for Stripers and will use them for LMB as well.

Megabass sleeper craw if I can find it

Another site had this

"Estimated arrival : End of March(Arrival dates are supplied by the manufacturer and are subject to change.)"

So the 'out of stock' everywhere is because they haven't received any yet.

When bank fishing in minus 50 degree water. Excited to try savage gear moderate sink bluegills with jig hooks and wedge tails. Specifically experience if the water column swimbait bite can turn in cooler water with the slower sink rate and less aggressive tail.

Mop style jig with a large/long profile creature bait like a man bear pig.

Dropshotting ned jigs with skirts

Swimbait/Shaky Head/Lipless Crankbait/drop shot are baits I plan to throw a lot more this year.

All four baits seem to be great for fish that don't want to bite and I like those kinda baits ?

I’m going to fish a Ned rig and equivalents (hula stix, trd, ticklerz, etc) more.  I have carried them but since I rarely carry a spinning rod (and hate fishing one) I never use them. Since I set up a light bait caster I’m going to fish them this year. I only took them on Friday and caught a couple, so I know they work.

Two, actually.

Chatterbaits and Multi-Jointed Hard Body Swimbaits.

I'm not super excited to give the bladed jigs a shot, but the swimbaits have me chomping at the bit.  I'm an old fart and as such, I don't like change and I know and am confident in other lures that will produce in the same situation, but I'm also a big time tackle junkie. I live by the saying; If I'm buying it, I'm trying it :laugh5: (you can use that if you like). I've already purchased a few of each.

I really like bottom jig fishing so this year I bought some custom hair jigs. I’m hoping they are lousy and catch nothing! cause d**n they are pricey! ;)

Trying to work on cold water finnesse stuff more.  I bought some sonar minnows.  I bought a mold to cast smaller jig sizes with bigger hooks.

2.8-3.3 paddle tail swim baits.  I’ve had success with the bigger 3.8-6 inch paddle tails. Another thing that I can use the above mold to make jig heads.

I’ve bought about a dozen spro float N flys to try also

Drop shot that puppy and make sure you hold on to your rod. ??

Via bait monkey to bait monkey communication, you might want to get the Aaron’s magic color scheme if you haven’t already.

I’m debating whether or not to try that whopper plopper. Not sure if it’s a fit for my neck of the woods. ?
