  1. 5" senko #925 Green pumpkin TRD. i can cut it in half if i need it finesse Pametto bug for punch. Zoom Z-drop. Hazadong shad. both sizes. boom.
  2. Huh? I didn’t put my thoughts on the job advertisement. My sentence was almost metaphor. Maybe I wanted an actual rockstar? I was up-playing hiring someone good. But I do love your interpretation. it’s just a thought. My workload can’t support one more person this next year. The following year? Yea. So I’m only hiring if someone spectacular comes along. Experience, licensed, etc. checks more boxes. I[m not desperate to get people anymore. That’s all.
  3. me. I threw with a Fury 733 mostly last year, but I in general I have a Kayden Med with a 2500 Vanford spinning. I use that on the Delta since I need to watch the line move to detect bass because of the current. and I cast way far to not spook those elusive pressured fish. the Kayden is way more parabolic than I thought I would love, but dang it if that bend isn't a fish holding rod. and it tempers my..."waaahhhh- fish on excitement." plus the whip-tip flings dang near anything. Senkos are heavy, but not all my worms are Senkos. some are light.
  4. WOW!!! what a great deal.
  5. FLAPSLAP/ plus it is fun as heck to say.
  6. I think you missed a step? can you go back a window?
  7. I went to the hardware store and bought that foam tubing that plumbers wrap outdoor water lines with. it is smaller in diameter. I am TRAINING myself to remember to pull it off when I pick that rod to fish with, and put it back on when I stuff it into the rod holder for storage. the only one that will sink if I flip is the one I am fishing with.. I having made it muscle memory yet, but I have all year. I'm a fool for dropshoting. heavier stuff and I always tex rig my baits. and throw weightless stuff. I think the Windbuster is my jam...and the MadBull. grrrrr...talk about champagne taste with a beer budget. next year...next year.
  8. it the only reel that I own two of. I love the things.
  9. kinda sucked since I had to take them all out of the packages to put on split rings. hard to imagine a bait at that price range not coming with split rings.
  10. I get this. me? I am in a dang kayak and we are at the beckon call of the wind. I find that I can cast with the wind and the wind slowly pushing me towards the bait really allows the worm to drop straight down. just works for me and my weird logic. but yea. I started weightless senkos with a spinning. it really honed my accuracy game with spinning. I do something similar in my friends boat. I am casting to his leftover spots and I cast into the direction we are heading. my worm behaves okay. I got my PB like that. casting to his leftover spot. he was ticked. hahahah.
  11. I have three openings. I have filled 2. one guy started and a young lady starts mid May. the guy is into his 1st week and so far he is kicking butt. self starter, independent. I am sending him to los Angelos next week for training. I told him dont do anything stupid over there. he figured out our system to buy air tickets and rental cars ,etc..all by himself. I have old guys that I have to walk thru the system. I am so picky and I was getting eyeballed by my management, just pleading me to "pick someone" quick. nope. I am not letting in any Trojan horses on my team. I dont want buyers remorse. I am saving my last position for a total rockstar. I have time. the problem I didnt expect is now the other supervisors want me on their interview panel. I am wading thru all the knuckleheads. my spidey senses at picking up BS answers is getting workout.
  12. 190? just did the conversion. no. my friend throws the 4 or 5 inch one. I throw one much smaller. I dont think my store sells a 190. never new it existed. so sorry for the confusion. that is on me. wow..190
  13. how difficult is it to remove that marine goop for the next install, should version 1.0 fail?
  14. not sure where you were going with your first sentence. but I go to Texoma to spend time with my brother and friends. sitting around a campfire, poking at it with a stick is about the only time I can get my younger brother to open up to me and tell me how he is doing. he has had some changes lately. the lake is pretty awesome and the stripers a fun to catch. I'm gonna mix it up with a med power spinning and my 2500 reels to see how far I can cast from the shore. I bought some new lures to try. I bought fistfuls of them to hand out to the group. Japan topwaters.
  15. egads!!! I bought the MegaBass Triza Dragoon for this trip. I will bring my reels to use with the guide's rods, but I hope to fish the Dragoon the most. I was standing at the Hookup tackle and told them what I needed the rod for and they all said, "Dragoon". me: "oh...okay, $10 and $20's okay?" I just bought my fishing license for Lake Texoma a few minutes ago. so a dry run with the rod is planned. I may lose my clothing, but I will walk off the plane in Brazil with what I have on, and my reels and one single MegaBass rod.
  16. Even my current two MB rods feel so stiff. But the tips seem softer which makes casting so easy. I pitch better than I ever have and further with my Levante. Kinda the gateway drug for all things MB
  17. i do this exclusively. i played with it at the boat ramp it and looks and acts like a ned head anyways, but weedless. i dont even buy ned heads anymore.
  18. i hope you are correct. profoundly. pumping stuff into our vast atmosphere is working out in a strange way. lets get back to talking about fishing, bud. ahhaha..but awesome thoughts. for sure. love the vast perspectives.
  19. i can agree with this. except. one of the example i put up was an older guy. maybe mid 50's. we are mostly getting a more mature group of candidates in general.
  20. i'm and engineer. i took one water class. by your logic the entire ocean would be the same temp and salinity because it mixes? i cant get my cake batter to mix without stirring it. but whatever. i am not debating this. it is not my area of expertise. it was always just a thought. long term anything is always an afterthought. historically. you clearly are much better at this. you're probably a scientist using the exponents instead of running out the decimal point...ahhh..you did both!!
  21. yup. that same professor would say, "the best solution to pollution is dilution" hahahha.
  22. Just a quick google says they currently put the brine back into the ocean. Which is what my professor says happens.
