please help me choose next lure choices with this bass fishing scenario
you dont mention the technique you are presenting the Brush hog on..TExas rig? since the bottom is clean and you seem to come out unscathed with respect to snags..like on the Ned. I would keep it simple. rig something like an OSP Milar minnow up on a garden-variety ball head. lights out!

Mojo bass trigon???
I can't wait until Glenn calls me to review the new Suzuki 200HP motor...of course I'll need a boat to do a proper review..thanks Glenn! I'll be super honest! I like reviews, but I keep them at arms-length. even my own.

Texas rig in rock
I LOVE this. a tungsten weight feels so cool when it ticks against something. very obvious. having said that, two words. FREE RIG. year 2023 was the year of discovery for me and the Free Rig. I own way more tungsten bullet weights so I still use it all the time. comparatively, I still think the bullet weight comes thru with less snags. (thus far). and the hoop on a free rig will snap my line easier when I threaten a snagged bait with a gentle tug.

question about this forum. why do some of my post need to be vetted first?
I just responded to something. my response turned pink..no fushia and there was a message that my response needs to be approved first. why? I didnt post up any pics of my junk. nothing nefarious before..

Mojo bass trigon???
handle aside, which I can tell is fairly polarizing in this group. but handle is just one part of the system. is the rest of the rod any good? personally, I like round. I grip a lot of round things without complaints. (oh..that came out terrible)

Spinnerbait, or A-Rig for Fall
my friend killed them on an A-rig last fall. I was bite less, after I went to the store and bought one myself. it casts like lawn furniture. yuck. I'll try again this year.

My Dermatologist is bumming me out.

Why I say most people can't/shouldn't rebuild a carburetor.
i took the carb off a Honda EU2000 generator, cleaned it, and muttered a prayer. the simple, tiny carbs freak me out. i never get them to run. this time, i did. never again.

My Dermatologist is bumming me out.
i didnt always cover up from the sun. i do now! i do know sun damage is cumulative. in my youth, i would have played in the desert naked and sunburned if it was socially acceptable. i didnt worry about burning. had a regular checkup the other day. you NEVER want to hear your doctors say, "oh..what is this?" (and immediately email someone) hahahha.. well, she took pics and sent them on. a Dermatologist called me almost right away, just as i got home. he said to come in..make an appointment. Me: "well, i am back in town on the 12th" Him: "tomorrow work for you?" they nicked some tissue samples and now i have to wait. 12 days of wait. luckily, i have a vacation with fishing to distract me. haha.. packing light except, the sunscreen. lots of sunscreen. and full body coverage clothing. if you're still young, cover cover and coat and coat. our skin is no joke, but not indestructable.

Cast iron pans.
Cast iron actually heats fairly uneven, that’s why some people preheat them in the oven. snd as far as soap. I find it’s no big deal. Soap isn’t made from lye anymore. I use dish soap on occasion and I can’t hurt my seasoning. It’s robust as heck.

Backlashing mid cast/ Can't get distance
100%. the braid when it even bites in a tiny bit will cause effen mayhem. i have 40lb braid on a DC reel. i can cast it as far as i can and everyonce in a while i can feel it start to go haywire..i can even see it. sometime i jam on the thumb, and sometimes it starts to bojangles and seems to right itself and i can finish the cast. with 20lb braid, i dont think i can cast it. it is not in my wheelhouse of skillsets.

It'll get you there and back, time after time.
