  1. Wow, out fished by the SIL... Pitiful indeed, failing to show him who's boss! ? Nice fish and great work! Sounds like an awesome day!
  2. No, didn't even know this was a thing!
  3. Actually? Are they still fishable?
  4. If I sold everything I owned I wouldn't have enough to buy one.
  5. Finally saw a old town sportsman in person! Those things fly! The guy using said he didn't have any problems in the white capping, windy lake. I wouldn't mind giving one a spin... I was curious to see how they steer, and saw the guy using a "stick shift" to steer while he pedaled. It was an amazing yak! You get one of these and there is no such thing as misery.
  6. Guy on the right in the picture is headed to FLW Nationals tomorrow(Lake Hartwell), and both of them are headed to Bassmaster Nationals at the end of July(Chickamauga). Pretty dang proud of them.
  7. Went to a great lake about an 1 hour from the house, with my buddies. It rained on us a little bit, and I only caught a few fish here and there, for a little awhile, until my buddies keyed me in on a secret pattern Caught my biggest(pictured) on a lure that @BoatSquirrel sent me! A savage gear line through swimbait. It is an awesome lure! My best 5 went about 11 pounds. My buddies( 2021 Kansas High School State Champions!) with their best 5, for 15 pounds and some change.
  8. My stomach hurts in anticipation of fishing trips sometimes ?‍♂️ I find it hard to get to sleep the night before going fishing, especially if I spending the night somwhere, so that doesn't help. I broke my shoulder without knowing it and fished a lot, went to the doctor a couple weeks later, and what do you know...
  9. No way! You caught a unigill! Beautiful fish!
  10. Great something to look forward to Did anyone get a video or were you alone? That coon gave you a good scare I bet.
  11. If that drag star is tightened all that way down I highly doubt you will be able to pull very much drag out, if any. Take it back and exchange it for a new one.
  12. WOW! That is really interesting! Thanks for sharing!
  13. I'd go with the ballhead mold. My favorite style jig. You can do anything with it!
  14. Yup, I like it a lot. It flutters well, and pops right off of rocks, doesn't get hung very easy. It also cast really well, doesn't feel like 3/4 of an ounce. Bombshell shad was the only color Cabelas had, so that is what I got. One fish, as big as the spoon, came off at that boat after it jumped. Other wise it kept them pinned. You getting one @LrgmouthShad?
  15. No pics Went out to a local lake this morning, with a buddy in his boat. Woke up at 4:30, got the the lake and was on the water by 5:45. Caught about 40 fish between us. Caught my first 10 inch worm offshore fish. Caught a couple fish on my new Lake Fork Flutter spoon. Did a bunch of junk fishing. The lake was super windy and white capping, so we lost about 80% of the lake, since it was unfishable in the boat. We left around 1. Overall a fun day, and really enjoyed learning to fish a 10 inch worm offshore. Spoon bite is pretty cool too!
  16. How'd you end up getting it back? Was the water cold? Scaring me, I had Mickey D's right before fishing this morning. Then had some more for lunch. I didn't touch the burritos though, dangerous stuff.
  17. I wonder how they got that in the fish? No way that is real.
  18. bet they're all over that
  19. You got a weight estimate?
  20. Why'd you put stink bait in there?
  21. Caught my only punch fish this year, so far, in April. Punched green algae mats with a Max Scent Creature Hog. It is a ton of fun!
  22. You didn't need to put a laughing emoji there. Actually try and convince him. A hotel with a guide service, sounds like my kinda place.
