  1. First lure the bait monkey hit me with when I first started fishing. I bought it off of amazon, and I'm not sure if this is what is supposed to do, but it sank when paused, eventually it got snagged and broken off. I've got two in my box now, neither have seen water.
  2. Quit smoking and tell your wives!
  3. No picture but got to meet MLF pro Brent Chapman today. Saw him while shoppin at Cabelas, and went up and introduced myself. Super nice guy. He was at Cabelas for Flatworms
  4. Next time I get a bloody nose I'm gonna try this... Joking aside, don't do it, just get them in the water or livewell asap.
  5. I've been showing all my buddies, they are the most beautiful jigs I've ever seen. Most stuff would have died after a day of fishing this lake, this wobble head is a freaking champ, still going strong.
  6. Here is a picture harvested off of @Bluebasser86's youtube video he kindly let me be apart of. I had a great time! Bought some fantastic baits from his company, C&C Custom baits, the flippin jig I got from him is my new favorite. Got two flippin jigs, a finesse jig, mini football jig, two wobble heads, two styles of tube hooks, and a bladed jig. Super high quality stuff. Made it out to lake an hour from my house today, with a new fishing buddy from our high school fishing team. We had some multi species action: Largemouth, smallies, channel cat, a little saugeye and a 17 1/2 incher, crappie, and drum. I caught a 4.70 and my buddy caught a 4.20, both LMB. Also caught a 7 inch smallie on a 10 inch worm, aggressive fish. My 4 pounder jumped 3 feet in the air, musta thought he was a smallie. He was caught on @Bluebasser86's wobblehead with a soft plastic on the end. I broke off the mini football jig on a fish, using too light of line, so expect an order. My 4.70 using C&C Custom Baits Wobble head: First Ever Lake Smallie. No long arming business in these photos...
  7. Pigs like plastic... pigs like plork... pigs like PORK!!!
  8. I had a bunch of old sports illustrated magazines, and every 5 pages there was and for cigs', people just didn't know better.
  9. Uncle Josh Pork Trailers, who has these in their tackle anymore, and fishes them? I know Gerald Swindle said he has a hidden stash somewhere of the original stuff.
  10. Not a problem, glad I could help. Be sure to check out some of Glenn's videos on crankbaits, and how to fish them: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos?field_tags_target_id=196&items_per_page=21 The crankbaits I am mentioning are squarebills: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos?field_tags_target_id=196&items_per_page=21 Squarebill: Roundbill:
  11. If you tie an FG knot you won't have a big knot. Are you fishing heavy cover, like grass? Is the water you're fishing stained or muddy? If not you might want a 15-17 pound fluorcarbon leader. If so you'll be fine.
  12. My buddy uses a scorpion dc on a 7'5" heavy green ghost duckett rod, 20 lb fluoro, to throw a ned rig with a little bit of cheese on it for big channel cats, at a private pond near me.
  13. If you're fishing braid, take a couple seconds and pull it off. This works for me ?‍♂️
  14. Punch it for sure. Try and use the lightest weight you can get away with. If the stuff is like little ropes use big braid, 65 pound+, and big flippin hooks.
  15. Ned Rig, tube, finesse jig, swimbaits, dark sleeper, crankbaits, dropshot. 5-6 inch magdraft or other swimbaits/glide baits, smallies with go after this stuff too.
  16. Depends on what crankbait you're throwing. Different bills and diving depths shine in different areas. If you're fishing ponds, you might want to check out a squarebill. I like the strom arashi square, dives to 3 feet. The Rapala BX Brat is another good one, that dives a little deeper.
  17. That's what I think when you say cupping it inwards. I would think that folding the blades out would make the buzzbait go slower since there is more surface area that the blades catch.
  18. You can reel a buzzbait over grass and not pick up any and then try to reel a whopper plopper through it, and you come back with 10 pounds of grass. The buzzbaits hook faces up, and the WP's hooks face down, and there are 6 points to catch grass on a WP. You've got to worry more about getting grass in your blade.
  19. All those stickers... Love the Huk stickers in the livewell.
  20. A Chatterbait is sometimes also referred to as a bladed jig.
  21. Jig T rig(Lizard, 10 inch worm, creature bait) Bladed jig Frog Buzzbait Whatever the fish are biting on at the time!
  22. It might be a little on the long side, depends on how tall you are, but with practice you'll get good at skipping with it. As long as you aren't hitting the water with the rod and aren't having a hard time controlling the rod you should be fine. Good luck!
