  1. What was that bottom fish thinking??
  2. Tuesdays catch! Both on Carolina Craw Zman Chatterbait tipped with Zoom pumpkin vibe craw.
  3. I'll get some pics when I get home tomorrow.
  4. I got a couple more myself...thanks Ollie's!
  5. I use a Lucky Craft SP100 alot in that depth range.
  6. Welcome from N.C.
  7. A good quality, sharp hook has made a big difference for me. Just because a lure or hook is new, it does not mean the hooks are sharp or good quality! Give your tackle the once over before heading out to fish. Keep a hook sharpener handy. Also, keep your line tight and keep the fish coming towards you if possible. Even with sharp hooks, a good hook set and tight line, you are still going to lose fish sometimes.
  8. Great fishing this morning, Carolina Craw colored jig tipped with a Paca craw was the hot lure today. Caught a few on Carolina Craw chatterbait also. One nice one on a wacky rig (first picture) first cast with my new spinning rig... Dobyns rod with a Shimano reel! The turtle attacked a 4"Lucky Craft SP 100 ?
  9. Ours have a air line that runs from the pump to the aerator...I have lost a few on those. I've seen the maintenance crew pull one out... It had a bunch of tackle stuck to it.
  10. Welcome from Wilmington, NC
  11. My experience has been that a lot times, the larger fish will go to the bottom when first hooked.
  12. Fishing was ok this morning, lots of small fish. Couple of good ones. This pickerel crushed a Berkley Juke shallow running jerkbait. He was mad!
  13. Welcome from N.C.
  14. It sounds simple enough, but obviously, you or anyone else doing those things right comes with experience, perseverance and determination. Seeing some of the fish that you and other seasoned anglers are catching on a regular basis tells me you've put the work in. To me, that is the key. Even if it is enjoyable!
  15. Paca Craw is great. Also, just started using Creme Speed scremer (that's how it's spelled on their website) has really worked well.
  16. Took the boat out to Sutton lake, the bass were hammering bait fish. My buddy caught two decent fish.
  17. Eagle claw hooks... literally.
  18. Welcome from N.C.

That is classic! I can picture that!?
  20. ☝️I've seen it happen twice. Once a huge snapping turtle grabbed a full grown Mallard by the chest and a life and death struggle ensued. This time the duck won. He broke free, but not without damage.
  21. Haha...didn't see that coming!
  22. 1/2 oz Ratl-Trap, assorted jerkbaits and Texas rigged anything.
  23. Keep both in 3700's unless I'm pond fishing, then I go to 3600's. For backpack purposes.
