  1. Those are such a great reel for what they cost
  2. But you don’t like it and are trying to sell yours after 2 casts? ??‍♂️ A sale plug for the classifieds maybe? ??‍♂️
  3. I didn’t think mud was clear. ?
  4. St croix legend tournament bass 7’11 flippin stick brand new for $89 brand new curado mgl for $100 brand new slx mgl for $100.
  5. I find abus to be hit or miss. My Revo x and Revo s were flawless and fun to use. My Revo STX and premier were frustrating to say the least. Every 3-4 casts and I’d keep getting birdnests and then spend the next bunch of casts trying to get it sorted out. Get 3-4 more good casts and 20 more trying to get the kinks out. I find their lower end reels more of a joy to use. I was eying the ALX. Dunno anymore. I also have an MGX2 new in box that I haven’t taken out yet. ??‍♂️
  6. Love the exsence dc reels! My ‘12 is by far my fav reel I own. A keeper til the end.
  7. That’s too bad. My black and green Helios has been to heck and back and just as fresh as the day I got it.
  8. The Okuma Helios baitcasting reels are bulletproof. ??
  9. I tried it on a MF 6’4 Veritas 3.0. Still didn’t cast well. Put the stx20 back on that rod and it just bombs the same lures out. Both reels now have 10lbs berkley x9 on them. ??‍♂️. I give up. I put the tatula under my Jeep tire and drove over it. LoL. thanks for all the help everyone. There is always one reel that just work for me. For some reason baitcasters reels by LEWS don’t work for me. I can never get those dialed in for consistency. Maybe the tatula LT is the spinning reel that isn’t for me.
  10. I had the gen 4 Revo premier and I didn’t enjoy it. It was super light weight. Smooth on the retrieve and strong drag. When you can get it casted. It was the most finickiest reel I’ve ever had especially for the price point. I’d get 2-3 great casts and spend 10 more casts getting it dialed in. Not a set and forget reel for sure. Even when using the same lure each cast. I tried it with 30-50lbs braid and 12lbs yozuri hybrid. Worked best with yozuri hybrid. When I could get a good cast it would bomb the lures out. The STX is the step below. Same braking system but for some reason stays dialed in a lot better. Only Revo I have left is the MGX2. also I enjoyed my gen 4 Revo S a lot more than the Revo premier of that helps. Black and gold would be the gen 4.
  11. Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to pick one up. ??
  12. Spool is full with 1/8” lip showing on both. The Revo x bombs lures. The tatula does not. Same rod with each reel. Same lures I’ve tried and same lines on each reel. Never a problem with the Revo x with any lines. ??‍♂️. Maybe I’ll try fluorocarbon to see if that’s any different with this reel? I’ve used trilene XL, big game, berkley x5, berkley x9 and suffix 832.
  13. So I picked up a tatula LT 2500 last season and paired it up with an evergreen combat rod 7’1 MH. Great rod. Fun to fish but that tatula LT reel I just don’t like. Could be me. Maybe not. LoL. I’ve tried 8lbs mono, 10lbs mono, 15lbs braid, 10lbs braid and 20lbs braid and it casts horrible. Finally fixed the line lay issue but I can’t for the life of me get a good cast with this reel. Maybe it’s the rod? I dunno. My Revo X 30 worked just fine with the rod. Thinking of picking up a 6’10 MXF evergreen. Maybe reel will work better with that? so my question is for the people that have used this reel, what line are you using on this reel with success? I’m not having fun with line not wanting to come off the spool on a cast or it just wants to fly off. Had to go back to my Revo x30 last year a couple times because I found that reel much more enjoyable.
  14. Go on... what is this legend you speak of?
  15. I find spiderwire has been too hit or miss the last few years. I had the same issue with 30lbs stealth. Would snap around the 16lbs mark. ??‍♂️
  16. I think it has the 86mm handle. I have both usdm and jdm. The jdm has an 84mm handle and just a smidge shorter than the usdm.
  17. I didn’t like the curado k and curado dc. I didn’t like the regular slx as well however I really enjoy the slx Mgl a lot. One of my fav reels to use. I also have a curado mgl but haven’t tried it yet. I find the slx mgl to be smooth and cast effortlessly. I used it with 12lbs yozuri hybrid and it casted perfectly. I imagine the curado mgl would be much more refined. either way you can’t go wrong getting an slx mgl.
  18. Fantastic reel. I used it with a 7’1 Medium rod and it’s perfect. Tons of info about them out there with a simple search.
  19. Dope! Thanks for sharing. Ordered along with this one. ??
  20. Pulled this rod from the vault. Never used. It’s the G. Loomis TWFR 935c. Anyone with experience with this rod? How does it compare to today’s competition for a frog rod?
  21. Really enjoyed using the 7’1 Medium evergreen combat stick topwater/jerkbait rod. Paired it up with an SLX MGL and that combo is a blast to use.
  22. Why not take both out and fish them the same. Keep which feels best to you?
  23. Get a 19 Scorpion MGL. ?? or a Tatula Elite. And congrats on the pitch perfect.
