I'm new to the crankbait world and my problem is that here in Middle of Indiana most bottoms are muddy and have this type of grass that feels like snot. I usually get a crank full of snot grass! ;D Any suggestions?

My brother and I were suppose to go fishing today sometime after church. Called him up at 2:30 and his wife answered saying he is taking a nap. I told her to ask if he is still going. She came back saying that he has no line on his poles. > > So, it's 81 degrees out, sunny. time for a little Will fish the pond at the house when the sun starts to go down........by myself

Spinners with scent
I was out around the pond yesterday fishing with a spinnerbait. Just having one of those days where I was glad to be by myself, pole in hand and doing some thinking. I was wondering if anyone tried putting there spinnerbaits in a Berkley powerbait bag or any other scented plastic bag the night before they go out. I don't know what the scent would do to the spinner after a while but I was thinking "what the heck!" Grid

good spinning reel and rod
Yesterday I was fishing with my med-light pole and old crappy spinning reel and hook a nice bass with it. The bass gave a good lunge and snapped my pole. With a foot of pole left i got him in. Guess what! Time for new pole and reel!!!!! I need to know what is a good spinning reel and rod. I want a 1 piece rod. Good medium action pole. Not looking to spend a butt load of money. Thanks

Johnson spoon
I bought my first spoon today. Johnson spoon gold in color. What's the best way to fish this lure? Tried it a little today. No luck. Switched to a silver with black specks spinnerbait and caught 6 bass withen 1 hour. Was using my med-light spinning pole and one snapped my rod in two.

The BEST pair of Sunglasses!
I'm a four eyes so I just bought a pair of Cocoon polarized fishing glasses. Has anyone used this brand? I paid $40.00. Have not been to the water yet. Ice only melted a couple of weeks ago.

What knots do you use?
Fishermans knot? I always called it the Trynene knot. That is what I have used all my life. Never had the line break at the hook but I have to give it a tug to make sure. 70% of the time it breaks right after I tie it. So I have to redo to get it to hold. I second it as "sucks"

May fishing-Kentucky Lake-Tennesee side
In May I'm going fishing at Kentucky Lake on the Tennesse side. Does anyone know what good baits to use? In Florida we use minnos. Catch large 2-3 pounders that way. I know Kentucky lake has mostly black crappie. What are their taste in bait? Thanks

Good baitcasting reel and pole
It has been 15 years or so since I owned a baitcaster. I have been using spinning reels. Well, I'm ready for another baitcaster. I like some input on a good reel and a good pole. There are so many out there I don't know where to start. In a graphite pole will a 6'6" med-heavy work as a good "all around" pole? Looking forward to your responce.
