Citica 200 DPV
Today Got my new Shimano Citica. Do I need to oil this right out of the box? I'm going to use this reel for crankbaits. What would be the best "crankbait" line for this reel? Thanks!

Crankbait reel
I have the Revo Sx 6.4:1. I want to buy a new reel and rod for crankbaits. I'm thinking of getting the Revo STX. It's gear ratio is the same 6.4:1. Will this be alright? If I use the pole for cranks and other application do I need a lower gear ratio?

2nd rod setup
Hello men and women! It has been a while since I have been on. Just too d**n cold here to fish and work hours are killing me! Indianapolis,Indiana is having there fish expo going on right now and I went yesterday. Tons of stuff! But, like always no deals! Last year I bought a Med-Hvy fast action St. Croix rod and a Abu Garcia Revo 5:1 baitcaster. I really like this setup. For a second rod what should I get? The same setup as in Med-Hvy/5:1 or something different. I know everybody has there own oppinions on rods and reels. I'm interested in possibly a different configuration. Thanks

MUD BUGS IN THE BELLY
everytime I try to use a jig it is hard pulling to get through the tall grass. My jig loads up with the grass and i have to pick it off. I'm trying to pull it slow on the bottom but at times I feel I need to hook the truck up to it to pull it through.

MUD BUGS IN THE BELLY
Was out fishing last night and caught a few. an old boy had a 2 pounder that he was filleting. :'( He did say he normally catch and release all his bass but this one swallowed the hook so he was taking it home. The belly was huge and when he opened it, it had 5 crawfish inside! He said this wasn't the fish bass that had 1-2 craws in their belly. My question.. This lake is a old gravel pit. Very steep sides and very clear. Most of my bass I catch are in 15-20 feet of water. Bottom has a short, dense mat with hydrilla. What is a good crawfish type bait for this type water. I tried a jig last night but had a hell of a time pulling it through. It just came up with lots of weeds.

Fishing the weeds...
If it is like the pond close to my house there is no way to use a jig or larger bait. You will just pull out a larger mound of weeds. I use *** duper flukes. The bass here think they are yummy.

B-day boy!
My son turns 12 tomorrow. He has been my best fishing buddy. He and I fish 2-3 times a week. This site has helped both of us on our fishing skills. I can't exspress how much help this site has been! He loves to get new lures and try them out. New bait was on his B-day list. I did get him a few new lures but the boy could use more. If anyone would like to donate any old lures or any type of bait for his B-day I know he would be sooo thrilled. Just PM me for address. Thanks! He likes to catch large mouth but don't have any pics yet.

Need clear water help for today...
I fish mostly clear water. I have better luck with plastic worms in natural colors and smaller in size. Doug H. e-book has a section on clear water fishing. With larger bait bass can see the imperfections and will rule it out as food. So natural colors and down size.

new line getting kinks
I have been using the Yo. hybrid in 10lbs. A week ago I put new line on. All I have been fishing with is plastic worms. The reel is a Abu Garcia Revo. My line is getting a tone of kinks in it. Its holding the shape of the reel spool. Anybody else having this problem? Now I know putting braid then mono would probably take care of the problem but I'm not a fan of braid. So what can I do?

Scam???
They will make money selling your personal info to other marketing companies. Soon your mailbox, email and phone machine will be FULL. And all your info will be known. That to me is a scary. I shread all junk mail and go to the post office to mail my bills. Too many dishonest people out there getting outgoing mail out of mailboxes or digging in your trash to get personal info to rip you off. My town just had that problem with a couple getting checks out of people mailboxes and trying to cash them. The internet is no different. Dishonest people and companies trying to get personal info to make a dishonest buck. And the honest ones are to pay.

What determines if a pond has fish in it?
The 4 gravel pits that I fish one morning I saw something on the shore. I had to check it out. I saw a hole bunch of eggs with tiny little feet walking to the next gravel pit. It was like a mini migration. I've heard of birds carrying eggs to other ponds but now! I know how they get to and fro. Dude, ask your sister who built her house. Give them a ring and ask them. Most sub's ponds are street run off retention ponds but they do stock them for the homeowners to fish. The first subdivision I lived in had a pond. The rum dums that built it put a 10' walking path around it then they put the spill off 2 feet above that. When the pond filled up it filled to the bottem of the spill way. So, the walkpath is and always been underwater. That was good for me. I banked fished the edge of the walkpath and caught nice bass. When I moved in the pond was only 4 years old. The bass were getting a good size to catch and release.

plastic bait binder
As usual I can't remember what the name of something is. I have a ton of plastic worms,grubs,kreatures,flukes,senkos,frogs,etc.etc. the bottom of my tackle box is full. Some of the bags that stink to high Heaven have leaked. And like usual the bag I want is on the bottom so all the bags come flying out and my hands stink. The notebook binder things they are selling now how leakproof are they? Do they seem worth the money? For you guys that have them your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Recycle plastic for new worms
I was thinking last night while I was fishing. When my plastic worms get all ratty and instead of pitching them in a corner of the boat or throwing them away. Maybe I should save them. Any of you plastic worm makers possibly interested in taking used plastic bait and reuseing them to pour new worms? I have a small amout right now. If anyone interested and I sent you my plastic what would it cost me to get new ones made? What would the color be? What styles do you have? Can you add color, scent, etc? Maybe other people would be interested. Thanks!
