  1. LM are spiteful. They love to boil on natural bait all around the boat while ignoring my offerings ?
  2. I did that yesterday. Caught 3 on the same Senko. Only got to go for 1/2 hour.
  3. Congrats on your find. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
  4. My Hook2 Reveal 7 does this as well. The unit does not power down as I can hold the power button and ultimately faintly see the Hook power down screen. Invariably, when I power it back up, I have to adjust the brightness back to the level I typically set it at. I was hoping there was a software update but the only one I could find for the Tripleshot wouldn’t load in my unit. It would seem a call to Lowrance support is in order.
  5. I work it similarly. Cast it, let sink, twitch it. I may hop and twitch it 2-3 times. Reel in and cast again.
  6. I got turned on to the wacky with a 5” Senko a couple months back. I’ve fished it with a single o-ring and a double o-ring but, these days, I predominantly just run the hook through the body of the Senko. And it catches a lot of fish; 8 in 2 hours last night and that is typical. So, what’s the problem? One worm, one fish. It’s not that they destroy the worm; it’s that, invariably, it gets flung off the line during the fight. And it ALWAYS lands just outside of the boat....and promptly sinks. I mentioned this to a fellow fisherman and his reply was, “That’s why I buy ‘em in bulk.” Of course, they’re not too terribly expensive ($2.50 per 8 pack at SwellMart) but I can’t help but wonder, “Am I missing a technique to minimize worm loss?”
  7. Beautiful dog.
  8. I've thoroughly enjoyed the boat. It'll be a year old on Memorial Day. I've had a few minor issues. One where the TM wire shorted out at the fuse near the battery. It was an easy fix. Another where the livewell pump won't seem to prime. I took it to the dealer and they said it was fine. Told me i just had to crank the big motor and go in reverse a few feet to start the flow. It works but when I first got the boat it seem to self-prime with out that. The boat is very stable on the water and I comfortably fish 3 on the boat. I did swap the front seat for a butt seat for easier TM control.
  9. I can't answer your question but, I have to say, I have that same boat and I am insanely jealous. My Stinger came with a 45lb 12v Motorguide. It being my first bass rig, I did not know what to look for in a boat. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have definitely upgraded to a 70+lb, 24v system with Spot Lock. Good luck with your boat and your question.

Remind me never to post pics of my wife.
  11. I've noticed that about the bass I take pic's of...they always look smaller than they actually were.
  12. My wife says I have FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) because my buddies all have Livescope and I would like to have it. And I would, but, there are other things I'd like to have more such as a spot lock TM. But, like you say, can you justify the cost?
  13. I've hooked a many of them when they slap at it and the hooks penetrate outside of the the mouth. Much easier to lose 'em that way. As others have said, sometime you do it all right and still lose 'em.
  14. Tracker used to be bargain priced but then they figured out they could get more...so they did. I can remember mooning over a Tracker years ago that was $8k. Now their cheapest is more than double that. Speaking of entry level boats, if someone hasn't already posted a thread on here to help guide new bass rig buyers through what to look for when they buy, someone should do that. I like my boat, don't get me wrong, but if'd I'd known then what I know now, I'd have likely bought differently. For one, I'd have upped the TM from 45lb thrust to at least 70lb. At least 24v system and Spot Lock (or similar) would be required. I'd have looked at better electronics and better rod/tackle storage. Actually, I think they do sell a glass line these days...I could be wrong.

  16. To my knowledge, the transducer on the TM will not fry when out of the water. It might confuse the heck out of the graph. I will submit this tidbit for your consideration, subject to over rule by those more knowledgeable here. I bought a Lowrance Hook2 Reveal 7 Tripleshot for the front of my boat. The sonar and DI are fine. The SI, I’m not so sure about. I’ve subsequently read that to get quality SI, your boat must be traveling 3-5 mph (if not more). My TM speed tops out about 2 mph. I think what I bought would be perfect for the console graph. Maybe not so much for the bow. YMMV. As I said, I would defer to those with more experience with electronics.
  17. The settings were available in my profile after my tenth post.
  18. Went out last night for a couple of hours. Caught 8 LM. Most were pounders. This one was 2.56. Not sure what got him on the side but something tried to take a chunk.
  19. I had a MinnKota box for my battery when I fished out of a Pelican Bass Raider. I had no issues with it other than the top didn't seem to fit snuggly. I liked being able to easily charge my battery without having to disconnect anything. If I were outfitting another one like it, I'd go with the same box.
  20. I've not caught anything over 5.5 this year. I saw some that pushed ten caught by others in the fall but 6 is the largest I've heard about on the lake I fish most often (private lake in our subdivision).
  21. What did you find out about your TM?
  22. Regardless of what grade you're in, it's still an accomplishment to be proud of.
  23. Congrats on a job well done.
  24. Wife and daughter wanted to go after work tonight so we squeezed in an hour. I only caught two including this one (4.53)
