Lee Livesay @ classic 6th sense bait
Dont see him using pink today, nor bladed jig today. Maybe im wrong. But no offense Might missed my point Yesterday was choppy to say least And my bigger point, bass dont see what we see. Yesterday the drawing power could been the vibration then when fish finds it the pink to bass is a gray ( more camouflage) Today is slick calm and sunny, drawing power is bright color, subtle bait. But as always my opinion.

Lee Livesay @ classic 6th sense bait
Thanks Guys Now to further my curiosity ( i should do a post on this) years ago i would never throw what i call wild colors. So that pink skirt with pink swimbait intrigued me. Bass, if do your research have triomatic(spelling watching classic trying to post fast) they cant see blue, they lack the 3 cones in eyes where humans have 3 cones. Many of you know there was 2 major studies on bass sight with color. Me, being kind of old school geeky old school programmer as hobby. I ran alot my crankbaits through the Dalton Lense. My friends you be surprised how your baits look to a bass. To me this finally answers the question. There is two types of pro fisherman on color. 1. All you need is green pumpkin Black Blue. And White crowd 2. Then, other crowd says, absolutely color matters When play with Dalton Lense it’s amazing How both crowds can be right. In other words just because bass cant see blue, they still see the bait. Another scenario that bugged me for years was the red hook guys. Red is first color to disappear underwater. But since bass tend to see red the best, how can this be? I had that thought in mind when seen Lee throw pink. Then reminded myself if memory serves me that pink turns to baitfish gray.

This is the perfect thread to post this old guys thoughts……..Got this a long time ago from a guy Line Cost I don't like the handling, breakage vulnerability, and high cost of fluorocarbon. Pros recommend respooling for each trip. Here's my quick cost workup to do such: 15 outfits for moving baits; 50 yds per outfit; 3 trips per week; 40 weeks per year = 90,000 yards needed Sunline FC Sniper 15 lb price for 1000yd spool is $149 at TW; 90,000 yards costs $13,410 per year Seagur InvisX 14 lb price for 1200 yd spool is $122 at TW; 90,000 yards costs $9,150 per year Sufix Adv 14 lb VIP price for 1200 yd spool is $70; 90,000 yards costs $5,250 per year I am retired, can't deduct this cost as a business expense, and am not sponsored by a line company. Also consider the environmental impact of disposing of 90,000 yards of line. Given the extremely high cost, time spent changing line, and the huge negative environmental impact of line disposal, (not to mention the hassle of using the stuff), why would any amateur fisherman want to use fluorocarbon? i was floored what he would have spent in line if floro- Favorite Jerkbait/Mid-Crank/Topwater Rod
Since want hybrid type rod Powell 725 graphite CBR if not top water then Powell 724 or 725 in composite cbr doing my best to think of my rods that could do more than one technique its hard because i use specific rods for specific techniques. Megabass Levante flatside comes to mind.- crankbait specific rods alternative
You and me both. bet i have 1000 crankbaits off top my head probably 15 cranking sticks at least. And my buddy invited me over for breakfast and dared me to show him last sunday that i had 300 unpainted baits in my truck. I have the baits and stencils but no other equipment to paint yet.- Gear ratio?
I like this explanation or count ring gear teeth count pinion gear teeth and divide them with calculator- What’s the best flourocarbon that’s not super expensive?
I know i have used basspro xps floro 1200 yrd $100. For me it lasts longer than some of name brand jippo grade stuff , for me- Recommended PE line on Baitcaster
As rule 10Lb diameter minimum on bait caster. Sometimes that is between 20-40 lb test. But make sure at least 0.11 diameter Berkley X5- crankbait specific rods alternative
