  1. A subtle reminder for all of us to try and give people the benefit of the doubt...especially if its someone we don't really know. Almost all families have that one person with chronic drug and alcohol problems. Its not an easy problem and it doesn't go away easy either.
  2. Looks like 100% fun...
  3. I would start out by Pitchin and Flippin the jig. Its that subtle presentation that will get you bit. Fish it shallow around wood, docs...etc... Fish it on mono so you can see (the line jump) when they hit.
  4. Johnny was a chemist's son, but Johnny is no more. What Johnny thought was H2O was really H2SO4. Seriously...even a little of a low concentration is bad.
  5. Years ago my buddy Ziggy and I were fishing Tim Ford and came across this guy in a Hydra-sport. He asked us if we were doin' and good and we said, "Yes were killin em". He asked what we were fishin and we said Slider. He then pulled out a couple packs of jig heads and threw em in the boat and said, "Ya'll try out those". Well...those jig heads were for a new technique called "Pitchin". He was pitchin with an 8' spinning rod that had a #40 gathering guide. That guy was Stan Sloan.
  6. Shimano just calls it Variable Brake System (VBS).
  7. Reminds me of a time when you could smack the TV in the side and everything would clear up.
  8. Looks like a smallmouth to me...smallmouth have a connected dorsal fin (like yours). Lots of times they look gold like that...put in the live well for a bit and they color up with stripes.
  9. I been using a scroll saw...
  10. I thought the same thing when I saw it. Ky-Sm hybrid.
  11. Sure looks like it...
  12. You will love it...no doubt.
  13. So...I started out trying to make a motor oil...with purple and chartreuse...didnt quit get what I wanted...then I decided to make a two color with the failed motor oil and remelt some blue things someone gave me...it looked kind okish....then just decided to just mix the two. And this is actually pretty cool...I dont think the picture does it much justice. When I hold it up to the light and it goes white!
  14. Man...thats great...what a beast!
  15. Get the surgery now...bass season never starts and never ends. I would use my down time to learn something new....there always more to fishing than just actual fishing.
  16. No...I wish I did. The paint and finish was totally trashed and it had a little chunk out of the tail. I've got some baits I've made and this referb was somewhat of a first run on painting. I can improve the process...the paint just wasnt acting like I wanted.
  17. This was an old "B" that had pretty much been destroyed....and just couldn't part with it. I flattened it out on the sides. New Lexan lip...added a little belly weight. New paint and hardware.
  18. How old is it? Clean it off, check the water. Charge it back up and see if its leaking. Take and post a pic.
  19. I was kinda lucky to work and fish my way through high school.
  20. Yes...this is true in Tennessee. There is no way for Fish and Game to know if you have the legal fish (length/species) or not...plus they want you to dispose of the fish properly too.
