  1. I agree...as case of cookie bites man.
  2. Usually I will just use enough tube for the reel feet only. Once the reel is taped on... you cant tell it there at all (see the tube). This particular rod just got a little long piece. Actually...that piece of tubing was repurposed off an old Fuji Rod (I believe).
  3. The lines from Sweet Home Alabama" were a response to Niel Youngs song Southern Man from After the Gold Ruch ... a song about racism in the South. I saw cotton And I saw black Tall white mansions And little shacks Southern man When will you Pay them back? Niel Young would go on to later regret his lyrics...from his biogrophy Waging Heavy Peace "I don’t like my words when I listen to it. They are accusatory and condescending, not fully thought out, and too easy to misconstrue."
  4. Welcome....some big smallies in Cumberland.
  5. OK...I can get my head around that. From Promoly:
  6. OK then...this is only fittingly appropriate...and no disrespect.
  7. @Spankey I with you on that...I'm a huge Niel Young fan...but for the life of me I can seem to get my head around him taking his music off Spotify...all because of a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience. I'd like to think that we can make up our own minds on news and such. Hell ...as fishermen we have to deal with lies all the time...about products and fishing reports. Joe Rogan is notorious for having guests from the mainstream and then from alternativerse. So now we have singers, who were once the biggest proponent of civil and human rights (Joni Mitchell too), flip-flopping on the right for free speech. Not a Joe Rogan listener...and I am pro vax. What am I missing?
  8. Welcome to the forum.
  9. Heres the thing about the tips...It is by far the most replaced guide for repairs. That being said...you will eventually need to get it off. Using the hot melt makes it easy to remove. Just remove the thread (if any) and hit it with a lighter....it could prove more difficult if you use epoxy.
  10. From the 90's
  11. Looks great...love the Rainshadow blanks...
  12. I'm James C Catignani.
  13. I think there's a county song in there somewhere... I got a rod...I need to balance. Me and fishin...its like a valence. Got my girl. Got my truck. Got my country road. Wet a line. Set the hook. Pullin in a toad.
  14. ^9 This next is a friend of mine named Dan Harrison. I was about three years ago he called and said he was gonna move to Nashville and sing and record...its totally amazing to watch someone follow there dream.
  15. Advice: Get the right size tip. Here is something I do for tips. I will scuff the blank a little with the green scouring pad...and I will also use a small file for inside the tip tube...then I glue it on with the darker (brown) hot melt glue. You may find that using the "A" thread is a little difficult...as compared to "D".
  16. A tributary can be just rain runoff or snowmelt...and do not flow directly into the ocean.
  17. What I usually do is set the first guide from the tip (at 10cm) and then the butt guide around 55 cm from the reel. As I work in the rest of the progression...I may adjust the butt guide at little. The butt being between 19" and 22" is a good spot.
  18. ^ 9.9 Love the Winter Brothers
  19. The humback they make now is the floater. They also made one that said "Humpy" on the lip.
