Took advantage of another MidwayUSA mystery box and grabbed the last pay $312 for a minimum $500 value bass casting rod. Order was at my door in 2 days. Got a G Loomis GLX 904c mbr, so a $550 value, making this one well worth it for me. One thing I did notice though is this particular glx was shown as out of stock when I ordered, and had a sticker for the mystery box deal dated 04/03/25 over the regular model/price tag sticker on the attached tag, so they obviously decide what rods were going in before people order. Need to check to see if the same is on the Chronarch I received in the casting reel mystery box.

I haven't tried any of their bass lures, but the 3 inch spoiler shad works fantastic for speckled trout here in South Louisiana.

For anyone with a Dicks nearby, they've got the previous gen Poison Adrena on clearance. Picked up a 7'3mh for $225 at my local. Rods themselves weren't tagged on sale, but they were shown as being included in an email I received and rang up at $250, plus another 10% off.

There is a bright lime green/chartreuse 131 available on the European market, but that's even more expensive still. Really wish they'd release that Stateside as I'm a fan of the 131 and would love a hi viz option.

I've never tried it on braid, but do use it with fluoro to help make the line more manageable. I have both the KVD line and lure conditioner, and The Professors Braid Aid and find both work equally well, although the Braid Aid seems to last longer for me. The KVD I find wears off around halfway through a trip, while the Braid Aid lasts at least for the whole trip, if not longer for me.

I got mine today as well. I got the last LH $300 value box, paid $180. Got a Shimano Chronarch mgl, so right in the $300 value making the box well worth the purchase amount. The only issue I have now is, as I fish inshore more than freshwater and this reel being no good for saltwater, I need to work out what rod I want to put this reel on for use as a strictly freshwater only setup.

Not yet, should be here Thursday, so I'm hoping it'll be waiting at the door when I get home from work.

For the regular inlines, Tackle Warehouse has this conversion table on the page for the Owner x strong single hooks. Has worked well for me when changing to inline singles on topwaters for inshore fishing.

I did the same for at least the same amount of time lol. Figured at a minimum 40% off it was worth it to me. I'm hoping for something under a 200 size, as that's what I use now, but figured I can always find a use for a bigger reel if that's what I end up with. Reel shipped today so hoping it won't take long to arrive then I'll report back.

Been eyeing those nets off for a couple years, but never pulled the trigger and just kept using my Ego net. Have the Yakattack on the way now, feel like it'll be better for netting bigger redfish and black drum.

Regular gulp can go in the gulp alive containers no problem. I do that regularly with mine when fishing inshore.

I had to stop at my local Academy for some other stuff yesterday, but checked out the fishing clearance while there. Came home with 660yd spools of 16lb Sunline Sniper for $45, 12lb $35. Had a couple Megabass Popmax for $11.87 as well so couldn't pass those up either. Bunch of other stuff as well, but I've got too much as is so had to limit myself. Bad thing is, I work right across the road so I know I'll be back 🤣
