  1. Not going away. Kistler almost always has their rods on sale.
  2. Me either. I'm an Elite member and never got that email. Did get one today saying that they're giving a $50 giftcard for every $200 spent this weekend though.
  3. Hookup Tackle has 30% off all OSP DoLive soft plastics
  4. Omnia has 20% off swim jigs until 11:59pm Central 10/1
  5. Seems like they've dropped it to 15% off now. Used to be 20% when they'd run these. Still better than nothing at least.
  6. Another vote for the JDM Alphas sv tw here. I have one on an 852c and it's a blast to fish with.
  7. Hookuptackle has a flash sale on select jerkbaits, buy 2 get 1 free.
  8. I'll second MN Fisher. My old Tatulas and my Coastal started making a similar noise after a while and a drop of oil on the bearings fixed it up. Had no issues after that.
  9. I have the c3000xg and absolutely love it. I'm using mine inshore, and while I'm yet to hook anything large while using it, it's handled speckled trout and slot redfish with ease so far. I've had the FK, CI4+ and Vanford in the past, and also have an FL still atm and the FM is my favourite so far.
  10. I bought a mint condition NRX+ 903c from them and it was as described. Looked like a brand new rod, and was able to register it as such on the Loomis site as well.
  11. We had a split Dick's/Field and Stream here as well until last year. Once they got rid of the guns and hunting gear they closed down the Field and Stream part and it's just a giant Dick's now, with more clothing taking up most of the previous hunting section. They still sell fishing gear at ours, but I rarely ever go as they're just too expensive compared to the Academy less than a mile down the road.
  12. The only Edge casting rod I've got experience with is the Epitome 725c, and comparing that to the Tatula elite ags and Steez ags rods I've had the Edge beats them out on both sensitivity and weight. The Steez was fairly close in regards to sensitivity, but the Epitome is nearly an ounce lighter, coming in around 2.9oz. Downsides with the Edge are it's tip heavy with a Zillion and Steez a on it, and Edge (in my experience) takes forever to actually ship rods out. Both companies make fantastic rods though and I don't think you could go wrong with either one.
  13. Just need to keep checking the ALF site. They randomly put different brands on sale unannounced. Sometimes it'll be at night, other times weekends.
  14. They're showing as $200 for me right now. It's hard to keep track of, I've been eyeing off either a New Twinpower fe or the new Certate so keep going back and looking at the 2, and the Shimano prices are up and down like crazy. They'll show as on sale for a few hours, then back to regular pricing then back to sale pricing seemingly randomly.
  15. Those are all showing up at regular price for me. The Elite member code for the extra 20% off does work though. Also, got an email this morning from American Legacy that all Poison Adrena rods are 30% off. Sounds like the new model will be debuting soon.
  16. I haven't used the Coastal 80, but have had a couple 150 models. The main advantage they had over the Tatula sv when they were released was having some corrosion resistant bearings, but that's something the newer Tatula sv has gained now, so me personally would suggest saving the extra money and just getting the Tatula, especially when they're on sale at the moment at a lot of places.
  17. This is the only issue I have with mine as well. The reel itself feels nice in hand while fishing, and is surprisingly smooth, but the squeak drives me absolutely crazy though and I can't figure out where it's coming from.
  18. Another vote for Digitaka. My orders have always been at my house super fast after they ship.
  19. American Legacy Memorial Day sale is live. 40% off St Croix 20% off Dobyns rods 25% off Fenwick rods 25% off select swimbaits 15% off used gear
  20. Same. Although my Alphas sv tw isn't far behind.
  21. Yes it is
  22. Had a little visitor on my back patio today
  23. If I remember to do it when I get a new cork handled rod I do. If not, I'll use them as is for a while then clean them up with a magic eraser and cork seal then. I fish more inshore than bass, and it doesn't take long when the speckled trout are biting to filthy up a handle with scales when they're not sealed. With U-40 it seems to take a lot longer before I need to clean the cork.
  24. Absolutely ridiculous that someone can get a harsher punishment for hurting some feelings than cheaters and people willingly putting others at risk.
