Do you seal the cork on your rods with a cork sealer?
If I remember to do it when I get a new cork handled rod I do. If not, I'll use them as is for a while then clean them up with a magic eraser and cork seal then. I fish more inshore than bass, and it doesn't take long when the speckled trout are biting to filthy up a handle with scales when they're not sealed. With U-40 it seems to take a lot longer before I need to clean the cork.

MLF Suspends Another Angler!
Absolutely ridiculous that someone can get a harsher punishment for hurting some feelings than cheaters and people willingly putting others at risk.

Anyone have any experience with Trika and Edge Bass Rods?
I dont have any experience with Trika, but do have 2 Edge rods, an Epitome casting and a Silver Widow spinning rod. Both rods are absolutely fantastic, although the Silver Widow is heavier than I'd expected for a medium light rod, but it balances well with a reel on so the weight isn't noticeable. The Epitome is extremely lightweight, coming in just under 3oz for a 7'3 mh. Sensitivity is insane on both rods as well. Customer service (for me at least) was fantastic as well. While waiting for my Epitome to ship, my wife and I had sold our old house and bought a new one, and the shipping info was for the old house. Emailed Edge asking if I could get the address changed and got a reply back very quickly stating yes, and another one when they'd changed it for me. My only gripe is with the ship times. Both rods took several months to ship, the Epitome I was expecting as it was a pre-order, but the Silver Widow was supposed to be in stock when I ordered and still took nearly 3 months to ship. Would definitely order another in the future. They run several sales throughout the year as well.

New Zillion rods being introduced
I missed that. Wonder which one it actually is then? I like the look of the rods, and the 7'2 medium has me interested, just wish it was clearer what we're getting for the money.

$130 more than the non AGS Tatula elite rods which also use the Fuji alconite guides like the Zillion.

It's been a while . . . how about some knot talk!
Mono/fluoro leader to terminal- uni knot. Super easy to tie and hasn't let me down yet. Braid to leader- Shin Fukae knot. Easy to tie both on and off the water, even in a rocking kayak, super slim so passes through guides easily and I'm yet to have the knot break.

Gotcha. I'm not sure on that, haven't tried it this time, but have in the past when they've run this deal and it worked for me then.

Kayak Seat Cushions
I use a Kayak Kushion on my Outback and love it. They're pricy, but worth it in my opinion. I've had days where the wind was strong enough I didn't want to risk standing to stretch, and didn't have any back or butt pain with the kushion. Been in the same situation before I got it and it was miserable after a couple hours.

De-kinking plastics
I'll vouch for the boiling water trick too. Done it a few times with some small paddle tails that had kinked tails and worked great.

Another Braid To FC Knot Question....??
I've got no idea which is the most durable, but I've been using the Shin Fukae knot for a couple years with no issues so far. Easy to tie on the water in my kayak, and a small knot that passes through the guides easily. I fish inshore for redfish, flounder and speckled trout more than bass fish, but so far haven't had a knot fail while fishing.

Shipping
My wife had 1 package that was a couple days late, but other than that all were on time or early. All orders were shipped out extremely quickly too.

Kayak Kushion
They didn't have the firm option when I bought mine, so mine would be the original.

Kayak Kushion
I use one on my Hobie Outback and love it, especially on days when it's a little too rough for me to be able to stand and stretch easily.

First thing I saw when I clicked that link was Daiwa Ballistic mq lt for $161. I really don't need a new spinning reel, but that monkeys got me now. That's a great deal for a fantastic reel. Love the 1 I have already. And $15 for Seaguar Smackdown is tempting too.

No worries. Usually it's Daiwa, Shimano, G. Loomis, Megabass and St Croix. There may be others that I can't think of off the top of my head, those are just the ones I look at most and hope actually go on sale lol. Most retailers will have a list of exceptions when they post the sales.
