  1. Come pitch salt cedars in Texas for double digit potential bass every pitch with 10lb line. Good luck.
  2. Aesthetically pleasing to me is being classy. Not just matching colors. I’ll never consider a bps carbonlite combo because of that stupid white. I’ll never touch a Revo rocket because it’s bright red. Concept reels. No thanks. I’m not snobby but if something is quality, in my price range, AND aesthetically pleasing why not?
  3. I think the “show off your stuff” thread shows that it’s important to many. I do like good looking gear if it’s also functional.
  4. I only have one casting rod under 7’ and it’s for jerkbait. Everything else is 7 plus with my c-rig rod being 8’. But the spinning rod I’m talking about in this thread was too long and too heavy.
  5. Wow. That’s one way to look at It I guess.
  6. I rarely use spinning as well. Probably why it’s easier for me to be ok with the cheaper setups. And you’re right. It was definitely unbalanced.
  7. I have or have had 4 elite rods. Randy Howell 7’3” M spinning for drop shots and underspins. Didn’t like this one and sold It today. Seth Feider 6’9” ML jerkbait Rod. Too soft. Didn’t do good with 1/2oz 110+2 jb on Saturday. Sold It and shipped It off today. Brent Erhler 7’ Finesse casting AGS. Says finesse but is rated 1/4 to 1oz. I love this rod and have no plans to get rid of It. It’s my weighted fluke/weightless senko/underspin rod. Now this 7’1” skipping jig. Jury is out but It feels good and hard to beat for $88!
  8. I know you’re being facetious but I’ve never tried to feel superior to other anglers. However, I do enjoy using nicer gear usually. Do I catch more fish because of It? Maybe not. But I’m usually more confident which counts for something. This particular combo just didn’t work for me.
  9. I think that’s It. My AirdX rods are 6’6” I think. I do have some highish end casting gear that I love!
  10. I’d use It if I had It!
  11. A while back I bought a Daiwa Elite 7’3” Randy Howell dropshot/underspin rod and a Stradic 2500. I don’t use spinning gear often but thought I wanted a “higher end” setup than what I had. Is It weird that I just do not prefer that setup at all over my Daiwa Exceler/AirdX combos. So much so that I’m meeting a guy to sell It today. It’s too long, too heavy, the Stradic was too large even at 2500. To me the AirdX is one of the best values in spinning rods.
  12. Life is too short to fish with ugly reels or hunt with ugly rifles.
  13. I hate being on someone else’s boat. It’s just not fun to me.

Your stuff fits in one bag?!
  15. Same! Can you email them?
  16. Now that I’m conscious of It I can definitely tell it’s heavier than some of my others. Not enough to make me not fish It though!
  17. What mission? ? I sold my jerkbait rod last night and have my squarebill rod up for sale. Didn’t really like either of them. So I’ll be getting a dual purpose jb/sb Rod to replace them. Possibly a Kaden 610-4cb.
