The stuff he's so willing to share is mind blowing, those two hours of Podcasts have been just full of information. I care more about the Opens than the Elite series, and the MLF events. There are thousands and thousands of fans like myself. I remember the moment I became a fan of his......it was nailing a 5+ after watching a video the night before titled something like...."go here and catch a huge fish". It worked, and I've watched at least 50 hours of his YT content since. He's also not above scrutiny, I believe his fish handling sucks. That will change now that he's in BASS I'd imagine.

The man just punched his ticket to the Classic, leading points after two events in the BASS opens, and already has amassed an epic track record of DD fish......yet it's continually distilled down into "youtuber" by many. It actually is refreshing and new for the industry, it's bringing thousands of new fans into the derby side of the game. The pros watch this dude.

My statement was in regard to the future, not the past. FFS has only been around for several years, and while the Wheelers of the world were fishing derby's, Ben was mastering it, and in return understanding Bass behavior unlike perhaps anybody else. Time on water is everything, the future is FFS....combine those two things, and you get Ben Milliken. I'm good with being wrong, but in a few years this dude will have amassed so much hardware if he stays the course.

Ben is the most impressive Bass angler I've seen when it comes to modern Bass fishing. He's certainly next level, he's the future of Bass fishing, and represents perfectly the evolution of Bass fishing in 2023. It's not just folks like me that are saying it, but rather guys in the game, his peers.

Doubt it was anything wrong with you as you're a heck of a hammer, I just think that's the funny nature of Bass fishing. Perhaps people have been throwing brush hogs, and every other creature besides D Bomb in my home lake. Having only started back in July of last year, I'm finding new to me baits that have been on the market for many years and likely already been used and put up for good by many anglers. Never had a bait flip a switch as quickly as this one though, wish it was on something sexy though lol.

One of the first real ace starts they've had this year. whole pitching staff last night was incredible. Dylan Lee sitting down 6 straight, most on Ks was super impressive. They need to pay the Padres back. Grissom might not ever be a good SS, but he'll always stay in the Majors because of how mature that bat of his is. He's a fantastic hitter, and a terrible fielder lol.

Thanks Mike! It was gonna take an awesome soft plastic to pry the moving baits away from my hands, and this little magic bait was just what I needed. The colors are so cool, you'll find one that you can't live without.

Few things can make a grown man smile like a kid.....catching a toad on a buzzer surely will ? Awesome fish, and you always get to add a pound or two when it comes on topwater. Nice scale too.

There would be a million downsides to that for my style of fishing.....I'd have to basically quit Bass fishing. I love a good spinning setup, but it's a very niche tool in my arsenal. I'm not looking to finesse big fish to the boat, I want to have the odds in my favor as much as possible.

Caught a really cool fish today, and outside of maybe the 9.1 from Feb., this is the shortest/fattest fish I can ever remember catching. Tough fish to figure out given the spawn is mostly over, but to me she's post spawn given she had a big meal down here throat and was eating my Da Bomb. Maybe she is spawning and just super aggressive. The Da Bomb is just an amazing bait. It's catching a 5lb+ fish almost each time out. Switched to the color SuperBug today, caught 6 including the cool fish. Finally, the day was complete after watching a Dinasaur fight.....stoked to see the White Heron return even though it gets bullied by the Blue ones.

Hello from Alabama, it would help if you defined the particular type of lake or river you are fishing. Alabama has a ton of different types of fisheries. Everything works in Alabama, you just have to find the right body of water, or conditions to use it. Again try to nail down where you will actually be fishing a bit more in order to get better more helpful replies.

Way to Bob, sounds like an incredible day on the water. I try to always have a moving bait rod ready when I get into Spotted Bass action like that, figure 8 a crank besides the boat while you have the other one there, sometimes you can get a double hookup.

You're blessed to live on such a beautiful and diverse river. The homelake drains into the Cahaba River so I think lots of the big fish eating birds go back and forth. Discovered a new critter the other day, the American Bittern. Dang cool critter.....took me forever after analyzing what I thought was a living creature to realize it was indeed alive.

Grew up catching those suckers on the Cahaba, never seen them spawn, that's cool. Miss that type of wonderment in fishing, rivers are so diverse in the South. Shame we had to Dam so many.
