  1. I second this
  2. @TnRiver46 it very well could have been.
  3. @ol'crickety she isn’t far from the populated areas in that video. You can literally fish at the base of a landing strip with a nuclear power plant in sight.
  4. @TnRiver46 when you see the susky at 10ft then realize that’s a little over half way to flood stage you appreciate how mighty it is quick. Average is 3-5 on the level I use. Flood stage is 17. 10ft is my limit of when I go out and I just use the river as a highway to get to other places.
  5. @gimruis I do it the old fashion way outside on a bucket.
  6. @ol'crickety most the areas are fish on it are far from beautiful. There are many beautiful spots on it up north.
  7. @VolFan I am right there with you
  8. @T-Billy where’s this 42 degree temps? We are sub 40. If anything I would troll the bait this time of year. I don’t have the new boat set up for that. the other issue is the lakes I used to troll had a 20hp limit. I have t had a 20hp motor in a few years.
  9. @KP Duty I actually have one of those. My mom used it for beads and such for crafts. I eventually found it and used it for its rightful purpose.
  10. @ol'crickety I just thought you were a bass geek
  11. @T-Billy my goal is to not musky fish in 24. I made it through 23 without doing it.
  12. @T-Billy I agree with that
  13. I fish a very rocky river with some good current. The Ned rig is killer most days
  14. I fished out of a canoe for 4 years before my boat. I would quit before I went back to a canoe or kayak.
  15. I have never fished a big water. Only 2,000 acres and under. My river is long but, not something like the st Lawerence.
  16. @T-Billy I am always in a slump and I tell everyone I am terrible at fishing.
  17. @airshot you know how to make a small fortunate? Start with a big one then buy a boat.
  18. @Mossman ask forgiveness not permission. I am only kidding. I am extremely lucky my wife doesn’t care what I buy as long as the bills are paid.
  19. Sounds like @gimruis is saving up for FFS
  20. @Bankc he was looking at upgrading to the striker 7.
  21. Between a battery TM sonar you are easily in $600-700. I had a Newport vessel stern mount that was around $200. A battery will be around $100 for a cheap one lead deep cycle. unless you already have one. And I think those sonars are around $400.
  22. @TnRiver46 so are you a shingle instead of a hammer?
  23. @flyfisher so a day late and a dollar short kind of guy.
  24. @TnRiver46 I think the 150-200 St. Croix rods are great rods. I’ve actually heard people say they prefer premiers over their legend tournaments. Rods to me are everything that’s what helps with bite detection. That reel is an absolute work horse. It might not be smooth as a super models skin but, it’s going to last like a farm tractor.
