Swimjig, swimbait, underspin...other options...
Yeah I understand about the boot tail, but I have tried several other trailers and for whatever reason this combination was getting the most bites. I have several pin tail type trailers and what had me thinking that maybe something with just the boot tail may produce even better. I am familiar with the free rig but haven't tried it with a boot tail, what kind of weight are normally using, most of what I fish is pretty shallow.

Swimjig, swimbait, underspin...other options...
I had to look that one up and you know what, I am somewhat *cough* older and I swear that looks a lot like some baits that I fished as a kid, had props on front and back and had the same shape. Not sure I can remember the maker or the name but I know I still have some somewhere, lol.

Not really, I have tried a whopper plopper early in the am but no takers...I know some have had some luck with a unweighted fluke but hard for me to slow down to do that, lol. I so have a spook and maybe swap that out for the whopper plopper.

Swimjig, swimbait, underspin...other options...
I've thrown a spinner bait some and I have 2 different spinnerbaits tied on but really what I have seen at least from last year, the spinnerbait bite really doesnt turn on until the water drops a little more. I should take better notes ( I don't take any, which is stupid I know) but last year I think it was upper 60's. Neither of the spinnerbaits that I have are 2 willow, one is a single willow and the other is a willow colorado combination. I have thrown both every outing but not had a single taker vs the bladed jig. Bait I assume is all sizes but the majority are pretty small and why I have been using a small swimbait, 3.5".

Swimjig, swimbait, underspin...other options...
Have this lake that I fish and its an odd one imho, it has tons of baitfish (gizzard shad) and they are everywhere and water temps have just started to drop....yesterday when I was seeing 78-79 but getting some rain today so my guess it will cool down a little bit. Litterally there are baitfish everywhere crazy how many there are, Ospreys, herons and eagles have a constant food supply (the ospreys are really cool). Right now most are still having some luck flipping boat docks but I tend to try to do other things and have been trying to target the baitfish angle and have had some luck with a bladed jig mini w/ black/blue skirt. I've caught a few but really have to cover a lot of water to find some, caught the one decent one yesterday on a chick magnet but even that was only one fish. I am trying to think what other things that I could try that maybe would be more productive than the mini bladed jig, I've thrown a compact swimjig a little but usually go back to the bladed jig, but maybe thinking I should stay with it longer and see. I am using a pretty small paddle tail swimbait, 3.5" on the mini bladed jig. Thinking my other options would be to try a underspin with the small paddle tail and maybe just a jig head without the blade. Those are the only three things I can think of to try, underspin, swimbait and the swimjig for this time of the year, early fall and falling temps any other options that would be better to try? Thanks

Yeah I was tempted and I'm sure its a nice real but I'm pretty much all shimano and just set up to service them etc...he has an SLX XT on the site but kind of high on that one but I have also tagged the site and will keep an eye on it. I was thinking about ordering some of the crosseye chatterbaits but kind of waiting for Dicks to have them on sale and pick up some mini max's...but I am tempted...

Hate to say it but it has happened to me multiple times with Fedex, they like lose stuff in their own warehouses. I had something like that got *cough* lost and they finally told me to have the vendor send another unit, then 2 weeks later it showed up. Hoping yours gets delivered on Monday!

My question would be for the reel is if its from Japan or US. If from Japan I have no idea what kind of tariff will be, ive been buying reels from Japan but once the deminimus was removed...ive not and will not do anything until I know what the cost is going to be...just FYI for stuff coming from Japan right now or really from anywhere.

Vibrating Jig hookup suggestions....
They have a lot of rods not sure I know which line you are referring to.

Vibrating Jig hookup suggestions....
Understand, gonna keep looking and see what I can find. I still need to find my groove with the bladed jig for whatever reason I'm not very good vs the spinnerbait. I had a couple fish that I set the hook on today that were small that I pulled out of the water. I think that is to much for the hook set, I just need more practice and figure out what works for me.

Vibrating Jig hookup suggestions....
Yeah the new rod I got is medium fast and its better but I really want a moderate action, but really in cheaper rods a mh moderate is hard to find most everything that I have looked at is medium fast or fast. I have several moderate rods but they are medium and not medium heavy...gonna keep looking.

Vibrating Jig hookup suggestions....
I picked up today a cheap h2o express premier rod to try out, i have several of them in medium/medium for small cranks and other light stuff. Picked up a mh, moderate fast, 7', is an im6 blank. It's stiffer than the m/m but not as stiff as th arid-x mhf of the same length. Really dont think its the rod, i need to delay hookset and make sure they have it before setting the hook but for as cheap as the rod is I thought it was worth a shot. Also changed my leader back to mono from fluoro. Hoping to get out tomorrow if I can avoid the rain for 4 hours.

Looks like they no longer make that exact rod at least looking on TW site, the heavy now is a 7'5" rod.

Vibrating Jig hookup suggestions....
One of the fish today I think was in that ballpark, hit it right when it hit the water...need to wait longer and make sure they have it...last couple of teips Ive missed 5-6 quality fish...ugh.

Vibrating Jig hookup suggestions....
Agree, not on the yips part but I think I am setting the hook to quickly. I think I need to wait longer anz maybe from years of spinnerbait and cranks even though I am trying to do that I havent been very successful in application. Another problem us right now the bites are few and far between and when I get a strike kind of just reaction on my part.
