  8. Fishing The Post Spawn It isn't hard to quickly recognize there are a lot of variables influencing bass during this period. By Ronald F. Dodson, Ph.D. The post spawn period offers some interesting challenges for the bass fisherman. Some folks offer the concept that this period actually is somewhat akin to the dog days of summer in that the bass tend to get very finicky in their feeding habits. Actually things are usually relative to something and in this case it is the more reliable patterning that bass adopt in the summer. In part, the consistency of the early and mid-summer is because things get stable. Baitfish school often along the same structure, at the same time on subsequent days. The bass also tend to reorganize from the scattered spawn and post spawn period into schools, and often show up at the same time and place to feed on concentrations of forage. Things aren't the same for the post spawn period.   17. and you might want to consider KastKing .... and keep some money in the bank ... and fish with great rods and reels .... can't go wrong to start off with them and you might stay with them a long time ... good fishing ...
  18. my mileage .... using high gear ratios 7:1 and up for most everything now ...do use old bc with 6:4 for some spinnerbait fishing ... better rhythm... all my other old baitcasters are now on the closet shelf ... good fishing ...

  22. proud owner of the above .... and mine is used from time to time neighborhood pond .... in its day was state of the art .... performs OK and bass are caught on t -rigged plastics .... good fishing ...

  24. right now where i fish i need to sometimes make some long casts from the bank .... use a kk royale legend elite with an ipt of 35 inches 8:1: 1.... use kk perigee II and bps rods 7 and 6'6'' med. heavy... hop it along a few times reel it back in .... cast again ... most of the time start this way with plastic worms .... some nice ones caught from time to time .... don't work .... more than willing to drag it sloooowly -- depending on the bottom surface .... Once read an article by larry nixon who said he was not a worm dragger .... he hopped 'em along at various speeds looking for reaction or impulse strikes ..... ood fishing ...
