  1. First of all, congrats on losing all the weight and becoming much healthier. That was the first thing I noticed in the pics. Working out becomes addictive once you achieve results. Secondly great fish brother. I can't imagine catching a smallie that big. My PB smallie is around 3.5. What a great species of fish. I always enjoy your posts and your pics are awesome. You're a great part of this great site. Rand
  2. I just hope that they aren't pulling water. I guess they prob wouldn't since we've had so much rain. If it isn't any good. We will prob pull the boat and run to Waveland. Let you know how it is. Rand
  3. Hey guys! Has anyone been to Raccoon Lake yet this year. I was just wondering if it's been producing at all. I know it will be up due to all the rain but I am going there on Saturday. I'm looking to camp Friday night. Have any of you camped there? Rand
  4. I am looking for a bait that runs the same depth as the Bandit Footloose. It runs 0-1ft. Yet I would like it to be bigger or have a larger profile. The Footloose is 2" long. I have been having lots of success with it yet was hoping to search for larger fish with the bait. Ran
  5. Nice score. My buddy got a Vendetta from Thorne Bros. for 20% but your deal busts that. wsmith I am also interested if you've been to HCT shop. Rand
  6. Man Big O those are some donkeys y'all are catching. BR
  7. I hear ya Steezy! Maybe I should just send it to Daiwa and have them handle. I didn't pay retail for the rod. I bought it in the Flea Market with a bunch of other gear. But still I want it to look right. Rand
  8. I am looking for a builder to repair a Steez for me. I can ship but it would be nice to find someone around Indianapolis.
  9. I have a Steez that needs two eyelets replaced. #2 and #3. Can you guys give me some ideas on a rod repairman? Thanks BR
  10. Rand replied to David P's topic in Fishing Reports
Hell of a fish. Hope the fight was good. What set up were you using? Rand
  11. Thanks for all the input guys. Newton is probably where I would end up being its closer to Indy. Is it open all year? Rand
  12. I was hoping to make a trip to Lake Newton this winter. I live in Indianapolis so this won't be too much of a drive. Does Newton have horsepower restrictions? I have a Tracker with a 50HP Merc. I also have a 12' jon boat but no outboard for it. It is a trolling motor set up. Are there other power plant lakes near Indiana in IL that don't have HP restrictions. Any info will help. Need to fish for sure. Rand
  13. What about the blood knot? Anyone use it? Rand
  14. Paul well done!!!! That's an unreal specimen. Keep the pics coming. You deserve to spread it around with results like that.
  15. Do you guys use the same rod for hollow body frogs as you do for soft body frogs like the Rage Toad? I currently use the Daiwa L&T Frog rod for both. I am looking to get a new frog rod. I don't have the best luck walking hollow bodies. I also don't get the best distance with the Rage Toad. My reel for frogs is a Revo SX. It seems to haul em out of the rough stuff. So any suggestions will work. I realize that someone just started a Frog rod topic, but I'm kind of going in a different direction.
  16. Unreal as per usual Randall. Is the high power herring for sale? Rand
  17. My buddy just got a 8' or 10' jon boat. Does anyone know if it has to be stickered or registered I guess I mean. We are looking to put it on white river and fish for smallies.
  18. That is a man bear pig bro. Good to see a fellow Hoosier cathcing big fish. Rand
  19. Anybody been on Geist lately? Just wondering what stage the fish are in. Rand
  20. Great post as usual Paul. Time spent with family is invaluable. Great looking pups too. Rand
  21. What is the reel doing wrong?
  22. Great fish man. You are still catching them. That separates you from me right from the get go. And I have a boat. Looks like you are really gettin it dialed in. Congrats and keep it going. Rand
  23. Total bust Saturday at T Creek. Water up north was warm but very dirty. Prob less than a foot visibility. Water in south was clearer but cooler obviously. Kid at the office in afternoon said only one turbine running? All in all total wash. 7 hours no bites. Makes me want to hang it up. BR
  24. Awesome fish man. Big fish on a reaction bait like spinner bait is bad ***. Congrats!
  25. I've always heard to find the grass at Patoka. Only been there a handful of times under tough conditions.
