  1. Well going to give Turtle Creek a shot despite all the bad pub. Where is the ramp located. I thought I heard that it was on the west side. There are two roads that run into the west side: Getting Rd and Market St or 700 W. Also do I need a lake permit for my boat like on other state run waterways? Rand
  2. Excellent catch Chris. Smallies are some of the best fish to catch. They don't give up. Good to see you back on. Pics are fantastic as per usual. Rand
  3. I was out there last Saturday March 20th. Water was cold and muddy. Bad combo. Don't know what water temp was. Humminbird wasn't functioning. No bites. There was a tournament that day. Glad I wasn't in it.
  4. Thats awful man. Hope things get better fast.
  5. Anyone know if there is any primitive camping around Turtle Creek.
  6. Haven't been out yet Skillet. I hope to get out to Turtle Creek as soon as the boat gets back from the shop. Just a little TLC for her. Although I may take a pond trip if this warming trend continues. Rand
  7. Thats a hog Dwight! Wish the farm pond I fished produced like that. Rand
  8. Anyone been to Turtle Creek lately? I am trying to find out if they have a HP restriction or Speed Limit. I knew that they were having a Speed Limit at some point. Wanting to go there in March but don't want to drive out there with boat if its a HP restriction. Rand
  9. I have a Steez that needs two eyelets. Also wanting to get some reels cleaned and whatnot.
  10. I was wondering if any fellow Hoosiers knew anyone that did Rod and Reel repair/service. Rand
  11. I went on Saturday afternoon. It was crazy busy. May go back this week sometime. Less crowds. Did get to handle some gear that wouldn't normally get to in the big stores around here. Checked out a lot of Dobyns Rods.
  12. Hey Santa Cruz What pits do you fish down there? Rand
  13. Triton21, Which regs are you talking about? Like life jackets, throwable PFD's, things of that nature. Rand
  14. Anyone ever fished Newton Lake? Does it still have HP restriction? How's the fishing? What kind of cover is there? Any info would be cool. Just looking for some place to go when it warms up a fuzz. Know its a power plant lake. Figured I would start with that. Rand
  15. Oh Yeah. I will be there. Usually is a really good show. I tend to shy away from buying tackle. But not this year. Tackletown here I come. Lots of handmade baits for sure. Rand
  16. Those are some good looking SwimB8 sticks. Like the all black components.
  17. I have a Steez casting combo. I didn't pay full price for it as I bought in a package deal from a BR member. I however would pay full price for it. It is so light you can't imagine. It is a real pleasure to fish with. I have a lot of higher end rods and reels but everytime I pick up the Steez...............WOW! Rand
