12# trilene big game mono 90% of the time....on a rare occasion i go down 8# test mono. I just picked me up a Dave Fritts baitcaster.I'm about to get real serious into cranking.

Bass season here ends in Dec. I'm close to done.I'm getting freezing rain and possibly snow tonight. I have one spinning and one baitcaster ready"just in case" till dec. Then it's off to ice fishing for yellow perch.(my first time going)

90% of the time i fish green pumpkin,watermelon/black,brown or black and blue. Last year brown did an awesome job.I use http://www.basssnacks.com/ trailers. This year i couldn't find a fish that wanted a jig.

You know what's funny...everybody in my family who got the flu shot got sick with the flu the following week. So i say No thanks! I've never gotten a flu shot and i've never gotten the flu(that i can ever remember).

I'll try to give it a try.They are calling for rain all weekend. I doubt i'm gonna be fishing in 50's and rain.I get sick way too easy. I just want to test it to see if cooking them in the microwave will allow it to not dissolve once it hits the water.

Sorry i'm late on this,I have no idea if it stays hard once it goes in the water or not.I haven't been fishing lately.However i cooked it with just plain flour and water.The oil wasn't working for me. Another idea of mine is add some bread crumbs...bluegills love bread so it would make sense to add it. I'm gonna try and give this a go this weekend and see if i can get them to hit it.Also to see how well it works or not.

Catt need another son? ;D I caught a total of around 30 bass from late spring all the way to date...Only goal i actually completed was catching a pike,walleye and yellow perch.

Patience and confidence has nothing if you don't have knowledge. I found out the hard way this year....I'm lacking that knowledge i need to know where,why those fish are,where they are at that time of the year. For the most part patience and confidence just got me confused this year.Without knowledge i don't have either patience or confidence now. :-/

My mom went to the animal control and they told her the only way to get rid of them is traps.They even gave my mom 2 traps and she was bringing 2-3 cats in everyday to the animal control. But because she was willing to help do it the right way and not harm the animals the animal control corporates with her. At the end of the year she ended up with well over 500 cats trapped.However,the neighborhood didn't have any more cats around.... ;D

No wonder i was crabby this year everytime i came home from a trip.....

Always make friends with the administrator....that way if you tick off the moderators you're still somewhat safe. *note notice i'm laughing....so don't really do that*

Depends....not all jigs are created the same.I've been modifying the jigs by how hard and thick the weed guard is.If i feel it's too stiff for my liking i may trim off 3-5 strands to the jig.If i feel it's too long pass the hook i'll spread(or fan out) the weed guards out and trim to about 1/8 or less just above the hook.It also depends on what kind of cover i'm fishing in as well. As for skirts sometimes i leave them long and bulky,sometimes i cut em to flare out and look a little smaller profile. This is why i prefer a 7' heavy action rod with a fast tip with atleast 14# test line or greater.....never had problems setting the hook regardless of those weed guards on any jig.

This stuff is harder to make than i thought....i can't get it to stay hard enough that it would stay on the hook. However i did a little investigating last night and you can put it in microwave for 30 seconds,pull of an end piece and if it's a little hard it's perfect if not reheat another 10-15 seconds till you get a hard play dough like texture.

My Mom recently had her's checked out.Doctor told her good thing she did.She ended up having to get surgery.
