  1. Some things i'd personally check loosen the drag knob loosen the brakes a little check around about the 5'6 rod..shorter the rod less the distant your gonna get.(least that's how it works for me).
  2. It's good line....i just don't like the price tag on this stuff.
  3. There was a trick awhile back that somebody posted on to get out of snags with jigs...It works great! I believe it was called the bow arrow effect(correct me if i'm wrong somebody)...grab your line by reel and first guide.Pull to where rod rod bents slightly and let go...the jigs will almost slip right out of whatever it was hung up on.I've saved alot of jigs and hooks doing that. Not sure if i explained it right.
  4. They are part of the cichlid family,i remember seeing somebody in TX having one of these in a aquarium. They only survive in warmer water.
  5. i avoid snakes at all cost...simple because i can't tell a poisonous one from a harmless one. Closest i came to a snake was my brother's old red tail boa. Being from TX cottonmouths were common in the water.
  6. One reason why i stay away from sports now.Fans stupidity. I was once at a bar type outing where they had the longhorn/sooner game going.Sooners beat us that year and the longhorn fans literally started a riot...every sooner fan got scratches and bruises trying to get out. It started over trash talking from the sooner side...needless to say a lot of people went to jail that night.
  7. I had to check 2 times before i figured it out..... ;D
  8. Good luck.At first it sounds like a good deal..then they started sending me crap and started to expect me to pay for it...Books for $20.00 a piece and they send them every month...if you don't return them they try to "sue" you or get a credit agent after you. It's a big scam to try and get money out of you. I'd stay away.....I wish i did.
  9. Joe.S was the person that taught me the jig...he describes what to do perfectly. Without his description i'd still be dumber than a bass on how to work a jig. ;D
  10. Popularity grew for the bass... ;D I can't bring myself to do tournaments because it's too much like a job and would probably ruin the fun out of it...fishing for me is just plain fun"ness" and relaxation for me.I'm happy with that.
  11. I don't fish em' either...I don't have the rod to do it.Looking for one this winter for next year. Missing out? I think you are missing out if you don't at least try.
  12. yeah, gotta weed through some of those reviews.I like to depend on reviews for buying something i know little about.A lot of those reviews are useless. Some of them make me laugh as well.
  13. 2 questions. 1. Why would anyone be jealous of over-rated underachievers? 2. A Miami fan for a while? Why only a while? i don't know that a good question. ;D I've stopped watching sports for some reason, but every now and then i keep tabs on some teams.I guess hurricanes got left out...so i can't really say i'm a fan anymore. Why i have no idea...i just lost intrest in sports
  14. Usually they gorge themselves...I'm gonna have some problems because the shads are overpopulated and bass are slow and picky now.Least that's what i'm seeing. It's unbelievable how much shads are in that water...every fish i catch has a belly on them.
  15. I caught one fish today in 5 hours....which also happens to be my first 5#'er . This was just before the sun started to set.The past 2 weeks the only thing i could catch was carps. The bluegills wouldn't leave my lures alone either...the bass were nowhere to be found till today.
  16. Hmm,i figured it was just because they were popular name among the crowd(jealousy).Since we lost our old coach wolverines hasn't been the same since. My favorite teams growing up were wolverines and badgers...still are.I was Miami hurricane fan for awhile as well.

what color are you using for walleyes? Just natural worm? I wanna catch some walleyes this winter if i get out.
  18. CB hawgsauce,it's all and only attractant i use...If it works i don't change it.I've been through yum and carolina lunker sauce which neither do i care much for.I know megastrike is a sponsor here, might look into that one as well.I haven't tried megastrike so i know nothing about it. I really like it and definely recommend least trying it.When the bite stops with the jig put some crayfish scent on there and you'll be surprise how many bites you'll get. It's good stuff.
  19. So he's taking credit for somebody elses writing?
  20. jesus..why does everybody hate Michigan?
  21. I'm horrible about that...this is why i don't buy any over $100 rods...so if they do break i can get another without hurting my bank account. Sounds like a great idea...they also have rod wraps and lure wraps as well. That will cost you a little money though.
  22. That's the sweetest thing about shimano...
  23. i get my stuff within 4-5 days....i can't complain...
  24. i tried that today...backlash city.....Don't try unless you know what you are doing. ;D I did it out of fun.... I have my drag set on a medium happy setting.Still have to thumb the spool when i get a fish on.
  25. I agree with this one...leave them home and use the teacher's instead.
