  2. Me think your friend is messing with you....
  3. I'll add something. It's like this...put a few drops of lemon in your water...you'll taste a little lemon flavor....now put those same drops of lemon in a bathtub full of water...Chances are you ain't going to taste that lemon.Same idea applies to scent.....the chances of a bass smelling your bait a distant away in a large body of water is 1 in a million. Why do we put scent on then? Confidence plays a factor in that logic and so does covering up any nasty smell we might be putting on our baits when we are handling them. It also may give us a chance in the fish holding on just a little bit longer.
  4. Yup fairly easy too.All you need are those cork cigar shape bobbers with the weight on the bottom of them.I just cut them in half and put the weight inside middle the bottom half. I love it when the bobber lays on the side for a light bite.Best Idea I've seen yet.I've missed enough bite due to not seeing my bobber going down, yet there was a fish on the other end.No sign of setting the hook was a receipt for disaster and another fish lost. I river fish a lot here...so my intentions of adding that technique for that reason.
  5. Very cool....... It was a little "off putting" hearing her asking you to go back and get her things.I think i would have be tempted to push her back in the lake at that point.... :-/
  6. I'm getting very heavy into it...I've already begun modifying my cork bobbers. Awesome video.
  7. 2 years ago i hated this stuff, gave this stuff another chance last year and i had some extremely good luck.Ended up buying the 3 bottle pack for next fishing season. #1...both,scent and you can dye your baits. For me it's more scent than anything.Remember they do make clear if you don't want to color your baits. #2. It works better on lighter colored baits...however you still will get the light chart color when you dip it...just very slightly though. #3...yes,yes,yes...becareful with this stuff. After it dries and goes into the water once,it's fine after that. #4.I throw mine back into a plano box I put aside for used plastic.Putting them in a baggie would work too. That will keep the smell from leaking out. #5.No....least not from my experience. When i dip my bait I wait 30 seconds then get it wet a little by dipping it into the water.Pretty much can touch the bait without painting your hands from this point. ;D #6.Honestly JJ's is stronger and lasts longer....and needs to be applied less than stuff like megastrike. That's the up side of JJ's. The crazy side effect of JJ's you listed is just that....the negative of JJ's.You either deal with it or just stay away from JJ's altogether if you don't think it's worth it. Honestly,if i were you i would give it a try....only you will make up your mind rather it's worth having in your tackle box or not.
  8. I find that very interesting that he smokes cigars in the store. That smell to many people is very unpleasant. I also like the smell, but I find it very odd that an owner does it in their shop. Indeed,Haven't found another place anywhere close to what that place is.It's just a very laid back, cool little tackle shop.
  9. I love my local mom and pop's store. An old guy owns the place and smokes his cigar in the shop.I love the old smell every time i walk in. It's in Belleville MI. right by 5 point street. They have the rare selection of river2sea lures, every imaginable beaver baits, and some rare selection of tubes and colors you can't get anywhere else. They even carry most lucky craft selections from topwater to spinnerbaits. They are a very, very popular spot when tournaments are going on during the early spring through early fall. Only thing that keeps me from going there all the time is the prices. They are a dollar more than anywhere else.I guess if i need something bad enough before i hit the lake that's the spot I'll stop at.
  10. They don't work...just send them to me and I'll glad paying all the shipping for them.... ;D
  11. Seriously? I may have to take a ride down there next weekend..... ;D
  12. Depends on the weight of the spinnerbait.I can get just a tad more distant with a 3/4oz than i can with a 3/8 or 1/2 oz ;D 50 feet ain't too shabby....that's about 20 yards. It's close to about as far as I'll throw too.
  13. LOL......You and me both man....

  16. $600 worth of stuff since I've been back to work...That was the start of this winter....winter ain't even over yet. :-/ I'm wondering if that's what's making the wife moody toward me.... She'll feel better once i give her $500 to blow from taxes.I gotta be fair somehow... :-[
  17. The sexy dance cracks me up too...Goofy watching those pros trying to dance.
  18. Same here. I picked up 5 on clearance at a sporting goods and 2 of those had dull hooks...I doubt I'll be picking any more of those up again either. I got a war eagle from the X-mas exchange and I'm impress with it.Ended up getting 2 more at the Ultimate fishing show.

2handee tool looks awesome! I've been trying to find something like this forever. This thing is going to make my life a little easier, instead of carrying all those tools. Anybody else seen these yet?
  20. When it comes to spinning reels...Daiwa gets my vote....Sorry Shimano! I've been using my Tierra for 2 years...Trust me,it's still as smooth the day i got it. I've got the tierra and now a fuego......The sol is next for me. ;D
